I don't know, I find myself slowly shying away from these things, and I'm only 15. I figure that my life after college will be pretty busy, since I'll be going into a professional school for either law or medicine, along with all the stuff my Church does. But then again, I'm not really that geeky. I look like a prep... dress like one, maybe even act like one. Of course, I love anime, playing games etc. But I don't love it as much as I used to. during the time I used to play video games, I find myself recording new music instead. Perhaps I never loved it enough to want to hold on to it.

Some bitter old lady at the town grocery store made a comment on a cat-eared hoodie I was wearing once. She said "Very mature."

The funny part is that it's not the clothes you wear that make you mature, it's the way you respond to a situation like that. XD Sounds to me like you didn't lash out at her, which was a very mature move. XD

Also I'm sure that I will be 30 years old one day and I'll still be playing video games, reading children's books, watching animated stuff, and doing things that are probably considered immature by most of society (just about everybody I know offline that's not a friend of mine thinks all animated movies are kids' movies, after all). XD Honestly, I think that maturity comes from being responsible, knowing how to balance fun with the things you need to do, and handling the situations you come across in life in a mature fashion, not from the clothes you wear or the hobbies you're interested in. XD

I still play video games, watch cartoons, collect dolls, and will never get sick of playing games like Candy land. My friends and I still have sword fights in KB toys and ride the carousel in the mall...we look ridiculous but it's fun. I never want to stop having fun in that way.

I agree with Radical Dreamer, I think maturity comes with balancing fun and responsibility. There's times when I know I need to act my own age and be mature, but I can't deny that I have a child-like spirit. I think it's been helping to keep me youthful.
