It Lives In My Room! @_@

And it has lots of legs, but I only count roughly 30 not a hundred...

Image

Yep. A CENTIPEDE! And it crawls over everything with those gazzillion tiny legs flipping around as it's long antenna sweep my floors... Not even the spider came out to eat it when it crawled in it's web! Don't you just want to cuddle it and feel it's 30 slimy legs prick your skin as it squirms back and forth with the threat of biting you!

I haven't killed it yet... wondering if I should given that it'll be gone soon. It bites from what I know, but its not deadly or severly poisonous to humans.

AH, NO DON'T KILL IT! They're not slimy and yes I would like to cuddle it!

That's a house centipede! I wish I could buy one of those for my house, we get spiders and cave crickets here horribly and they eat them. House centipedes are awesome and they're practically harmless, their bite can't even penetrate human skin. If you don't want it, send it to meeee~!

That would explain why my grass spiders that live in my room don't want to come out and play when it crawled in their web :P. I'd let you have him/her/it.... but I don't think it would survive the trip... :)

Step on it and it won't eat your spiders that can actually bite you and harm you. Whereas this adorable guy can't.

And these:

*dies a horrible death after seeing those two bugs*

They... They frightened me..

But hey, if the centipede eats spiders, and can't bite a human, it may live in my house! Though.. still.. It.. It scares me.

It's actually rather frightened of me. When I went to take the picture it ran like crazy to get away from me hiding under anything it could scurry under. Then when the camera light went on for me to take the picture it knew it was trapped and stayed VERY still as if it thought I was going to eat it :P.

Actually, I think this:

Image

Has the house centipede beat by a long shot. Millipedes can have up to 350 legs, maybe 400. But they're completely harmless, kinda slow, and I actually used to have one as a pet. I let him crawl up my arm and stuff too.~ 8D

Then of course, there is the actual centipede:

Image

These actually give you a reason to be afraid of them, as they are quite deadly, considering most of the larger ones can deliver a nice anaphylactic shock to ya.

You're afraid of centipedes? I hate spiders. I used to love em as a kid, I'd poke em and lure them along going "Herrrre pider pider pider..." Annnnd then... yeah. I grew up and decided they were my mortal enemies :3

I don't think I've seen the house centipede variety before. I've only seen the actual centipede variety.

Y thanks yous. xD I had lots of bugs as pets really, especially when I was younger. I had a pet garden spider in a container that made her web in it, and I would drop crickets into her web and she would attack them. And of course the pill bugs and beetles were always fun as pets too. Tarantulas are pretty cool, though I'd only want one that was kind of lazy and would let me hold it without freaking out or getting grumpy, heheh.

I think the only bugs I don't like are crickets, surprisingly. I'm not scared of them but I despise them and don't want them near me at all. Spiders tend to surprise me and creep me out every now and then, but that's them being the good little pranksters they are. Though over two years or so, they just don't have any effect on me anymore. Instead, I just usually pick them up and scare the other girls at work with 'em. xD

Although, black widows are a big no. We get those like crazy here during the spring and they can show up anywhere.

...well, it does eat spiders, which I hate and am creeped out by majorly. Still, it is a level of creepiness all on its own.

Ugh, I couldn't let it go on living, but if you like it... more power to you? O.<

I gotta admit that little guy is cool. I don't generally get grossed out by bugs (other than the most cliche one there is to get scared of .. you guessed it, roaches). I used to keep all sorts of bugs as my pets, june bugs, caterpillars, all sorts. I like millipedes too, they're cute.
