No but seriously, at least this guy died at an age that it would be considered normal to die at.

Most of the recent passings of celebrities were random and tragic, but this....wasn't.

I only truly knew Malden as General Omar Bradley in Patton, where his more reasoned and thoughtful approach to war made him an interesting foil to the titular character's somewhat more impulsive war-mongering. Strangely, though, his performance stood more out for me than George C Scott's great, focused performance.
