Technically, I didn't buy it, but my friend gave me a heads-up and I downloaded Trading Yesterday's never-released and extremely obscure second album, called More Than This, which I couldn't buy even if I wanted to (which I did).

This album is amazing. The new songs are so beautiful, in true Trading Yesterday fashion, and they have lots of re-recorded versions of songs on their first album, which all add so much to old, familiar songs. I love how Trading Yesterday isn't afraid to add completely new lyrics to their old songs.
You can find out things about the past that you never knew. And from what you've learned, you may see some things differently in the present. You're the one that changes. Not the past.

The last CD I bought was (I think, it's been a while) Ultra Beatdown - DragonForce. My favorite song from that album would have to be 'Heroes of Our Time.' Other than that I don't listen to it much anymore XD

I've listened to it a lot, but I've come to the conclusion that I just don't enjoy it very much because the lyrics are so ridiculously harsh. It's so hard to listen to lyrically despite being musically brilliant. I much prefer anti-establishment-1984-esque-paranoia Trent Reznor to completely self-loathing-suicidal Trent Reznor. I'll probably give it another shot soon.

If you took the song "Mr. Self Destruct" off The Downward Spiral and stuck it on Showbread's Nervosa album, you wouldn't notice a difference.

The only song I feel too convicted to listen to on that album is Heresy, for quite obvious reasons.

Nice buys. I hope you enjoy Ghosts and The Fragile. Ghosts went really well when I was reading House of Leaves. It made really good mood music for everything, since most of Ghosts is very chilling. And The Fragile is probably my second favorite NIN album, after Year Zero.

Anyway...

Street Sweeper Social Club - Street Sweeper Social Club

...ironically on tour with NIN and Jane's Addiction right now. It's a project by RATM's bassist, Tom Morello, and a member of a group called The Coup (which I've never heard of).

Kalafina - Seventh Heaven

It's the album by the group formed by Yuki Kajiura and did the themes for the Kara no Kyoukai movies. All seven of those are on this album, along with some other stuff. They were in Anime Boston this year and their album's available on iTunes.
