Poke holes in the picture's eyes and see if you can see anything through the holes.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves."

Greg Proops might need some arms, you should get your inventory screen back and try feeding him some seeds. Maybe thats why hes looking at the other wall and shes looking back at him, FINISH THE LOVE TRIANGLE!

It's OK, that would only have happened when it was pitch black.

You-you can't bring yourself to touch it. Perhaps your courage stat isn't as high as it could be. Or perhaps you're just a normal fallible human being with fears and reservations, one of which is anything remotely approaching personal contact between you and that picture. Sweet mercy, just look at it.

No, wait. Don't.

You return to your original vantage point.

It appears to be a hard wood framed portrait of popular American entertainer and TV host Greg "Prepare the Earth woman for our pleasure" Proops. He hasn't taught you everything you know, but what counts, he didn't teach you either.

What do you do?

You beseech the all knowing Proops for a pearl of his overflowing chalice of wisdom. Surely he will not abandon you in your hour of need. Unfortunately, his smug serenity remains uncompromised. His ears do not hear your feeble pleas.

Maybe you should rethink this whole Talk To Inanimate Objects strategy you've been pursuing.

Leaning against the wood paneling in despair, it clicks gently under the pressure of your palm.

The painting swings outward.

Look at the back of the picture.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.

No. Let's not open up our options.

Deftly, you scramble through the new opening formerly concealed by the Proops.

"Talking to one's self is the first sign of madness!"
"To be a good listener, you must acquire a musical culture...you must be familiar with the history and development of music, you must listen...to receive music you have to open your ears and wait for the music, you must believe that it is something you need ...to listen is an effort, and just to hear has no merit. It's predictably locked. Honestly, you don't know why you even try anymore. Maybe if you had the key, but you really hope this doesn't become that sort of adventure.

You feel as though cosmic forces are urging you to retrieve the hanging length of hose, which conveniently could also double as a rope.

What do you do?

Rope always comes in handy; if anything, to save in your inventory so you can later choke the person who trapped you in this game.

But I'm still sticking with my last suggestion. Take hose, fill bucket, see what magic happens. :D

Eat the rope, hope it stirs up my stomach acid up enough, and cough up stuff that would burn a hole in the door.
