The crowing of the Best Anime Couple of 2004

Postby Hitokiri » Mon Apr 05, 2004 1:42 pm

Here are the results of the Best Anime Couple Contest 2004 and the crowning of the best couple in anime.

But before that....allow me some time to tahnk everyone for partcipating in this contest. It made me laugh, happy, and proud taht you guys supported this contest is a friendly yet competitive manner. It was fun seeing sigs adorned with "Parn and Deedlit for 2004!" and "Vote for Kenshin and Kaoru". It was fun seein gpeople extend gifts and rpizes for whoever went for thier couple. We have seen bribes galore towards members and even me (eh.hem Ashely lol  ).

We had 59 people voting in the Final Round which is absolutely amazing!

We had many couples in the Contest and many fell early in Round 1 while others held on into the Death Match.

On that note, I have another contest being planed later this April. It will be something specatcular like no one has ever seen. I promise good fun and I hope you guys partcipate in the next one like you did int he couples contest. I am working hard on the next contest.

Sooooooooooo..........

The moment you have been waititng for....

Drum roll please

The King and Queen of the Best Anime Couple Contest is.........................................................
........................................
................................................
....................

Kenshin and Kaoru from Rurouni Kenshin!!!!!!!

Image

Kenshin and Kaoru recieved 39 votes while Parn and Deedlit gain 21. Parn and Deedlit actually remained tied with Kenshin and Kaoru but after a few votes, Kenshin and Kaoru flew ahead!

Congrts to the two swordsman(andwomen) as they are recognized as the Best Anime Couple in all Anime-dom!!

I have recounted the votes and they still remain in the lead by 18 votes. My hats go off to the Parn and Deedlit voters whom I considered the under dogs and I did add that extra vote in there for you guys. You guys should extreme amounts of loyalty for your couples by going against the flow and also you had some creative ways of promoting your favorite couple.

My hats also goes off to the Kenshin and Kaoru voters who cotninued to stick to thier favorite couple while bieng rediculaed for voting for them. Plus they were handing out cookies which is hard to beat!

:thumb:

So thus the Best Anime Couple Contest is now over with Kenshin and Kaoru as the winner. Tahnks everyone for partcipating and expect a new contst coming at the end of April!

God Bless

YES!!! Way to go, K/K fans! *hands out celebratory cake and brownies*

My consolations extended to the Parn and Deedlit fans.

Oooo, that's a cute pic.

Congratulations, Kenshin and Kaoru fans... you proved your devotion... and true_noir_chloe's Hiten Mitsu-COOKIE Ryu is indeed a powerful style.

And to the Parn and Deedlit fans, such a valiant stand... maybe next year, hmm?

*sips some more tea and leaves the thread very satisfied with the contest.*

HUZZAH FOR KENSHIN AND KAORU!

To the Parn and Deedlit fans, I don't really know who they are, so I really couldn't vote for them. But now I'm curious, so I'm going to find out!

Thanks, Hitokiri for putting this together. :) I was impressed how everyone came through and voted and everyone deserves a cookie, even the Parn and Deedlit voters. *cookies for everyone!*;)

The next contest should be just as fun!

Schwoo, now I can put my sig back to the usual. *runs to change the sig*

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

That was fun! What's the next contest going to be, Hitokiri?

BOOSTER: Hey, No.1! Where's my cake?!
SNIFIT 1: Booster, Sir! There's a 70% chance the object you're standing on is a cake.

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

If I may make a suggestion for the next contest, the number of original contestants should be divisible by four if you want to avoid those three way votes. Then again if you liked the death match then go for it.

What we need now is a "best manga couples" contest or something.

Yay! Kenshin and Karou rule, don't get me wrong. Deedlit and Parn are undeniably cute I just wanted K/K to win badly. I mean I did watch over 90% of that series and started to see how they got so close towards the end.

Yay...I'm glad K&K won.

To be quite honest, I didn't really care who won until the Parn and Deedlit coalition started making a fuss. Since they did, I now get to enjoy the familiar fruit of victory with a dash of triumph. ;)
