Dragon Quest IV

Postby WrestlingOtaku » Mon Sep 22, 2008 10:36 pm

I'm surprised I haven't seen a thread for this game yet. Especially since I know Nate really enjoys the Dragon Quest series.

So, has anyone picked this game up yet? If you have, how far are you? I did the other day and I've been enjoying it a lot. Can't put the darn thing down actually. :/ I just got to the beginning of chapter 5 today and will probably play it late into the night.

I am ordering it off Amazon tonight! XD I probably won't be playing it for a while though, I'm still in Final Fantasy IV. :\

I had to chose between this one and FFIV when I was at my local Gamestop. I had already played some of FFIV so I went with this instead, since it's a whole new game for me.

Gak! This is out already? I didn't see anything about it at Gamestop yesterday. I should go pick up a copy of it for my husband. @_@

I got to get the Dragon Quest game for the PS2, still. Is this one very good? I'm talking about the one on the DS.
Some of my favorite scriptures.

Psalm91
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Hebrews 4-4
1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

James 4
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

I just played through chapter one. So far I like it.

@ Gabriel 9.0- You may want to play the one on the PS2 and then play the one on the DS just to see if you'll like it. Personally I love the games, but some people may find the games to be hard when really they just don't level up enough. Plus it's made buy Square-Enix so you can be assured the quality is good.

Let me say this though, if you're not the type who likes to fight many battles in order to level up in order to actually hold your own in each new dugeon that comes your way, don't play it. It personally doesn't matter to me because I LIKE a challenge. But for those that just want it to be a go-through-fast-one-time game, then don't play it.

This is a true RPG.

Sounds good to me, thanks for informing me man.

I definitely try out the Dragon Quest on the PS2, first.

Oh man, I loved 8 so very very hard. That game was wonderful. I'm looking forward to 9, but I wish it were on a home platform.
