I'm flattered, thank you! I will keep your recommendations in mind, though like you, I can be a bit slow in getting around to these things. Having been at this for roughly three years now, I have this keen but subtle sense of what kinds of albums both I personally need and the station itself needs at any given moment. It really is a careful balance, though not as much as it used to be when the playlist was smaller. So too, being an avid record collector yourself, if you hear any music you would like to add to your collection, but don't know where to find it, let me know and I'll see if I can find it for you.Kkun (post: 1264167) wrote:I'm digging your station, Ghost. I never realized how much overlap there was in our musical taste (despite my predilection toward pop-punk heh heh). May I recommend a few albums that I think would fit with some of the other albums you have? I realize there's the issue of getting access to them but here are some suggestions...
Actually, I've heard some of at least half of what you're recommending. It's just that when you go as long as I have and learn of so many great records, you have to plan and pace yourself so you don't overspend. Eventually, you find yourself planning at least a month in advance, going so far as to make pretty four square panels in your album notebook with matching musical themes. It's all a bit obsessive, but listeners like the product, so that's ok. I'm glad to hear you've had fun listening to and exploring the music. At 177 hours of it being broadcast, I'm sure you'll always be able to find something fresh.Kkun (post: 1264188) wrote:Yeah, no problem, man. I just figured those were some records you might not have thought of/hadn't heard of/might want to check out. You have quite a bit of music I've never listened to, as well, and I've been enjoying your station very much since this afternoon.
