Apache/PHP installation?

Postby SnoringFrog » Tue Aug 05, 2008 8:42 pm

I've had a very difficult time trying to do this today, and I was wondering if there's anyone out there that can offer up any help? I'd also like to get MySQL installed as well so I can try and start learning/using PHP/MySQL, but it just always seems to get screwed up when I try to get them working.

I'm using XAMPP now, but there's just something about not being able to really put any of this in myself, especially since I think I got close after a few hours or working at it earlier. I want to put it all in myself and actually get what I'm doing, or kinda halfway put it in myself, I'm quite frankly not sure anymore, lol.

What kind of system are you trying to put it on? Windows? Mac? Linux?

I've used Webserver On A Stick, which you can install to a USB drive or even a flash card, and carry it around with you. It's really easy to install. But the site's down at the moment :(

For windows, I'd use XAMPP.
