If you could live in an anime

Postby rocklobster » Sat Jul 19, 2008 4:56 pm

If you could live in an anime, which would you want to live in? Here's what I'd want:
Haibane Renmei: Angels live here, and the place has a peaceful atmosphere. I love how altruistic everyone is.
Tenchi Muyo: All those girls are just crazy. The best part? Sasami is the nicest girl around.

Fist of the blue sky. Shanghai in its chaos era? A martial art that laughs in the face of modern technology? Sounds fun, as long as I am one of those who know it and know it well. XD

Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

On the other hand, I sort of want to be in Fantastic Children just so I could smack the heroes around when they're being idiots.

Hm...I'd also say Pokemon. Then again, Angelic Layer would be fun too; I'd love to create my own doll and battle other players. Or even Sonic X; I think meeting Sonic would be kind of cool.

I would've said One Piece, but it'd probably be really easy to get on the wrong side of the government (particularly if I happened to cross paths with and even befriend the Strawhats) and I'd probably end up dead pretty quickly, if not from the government then from some other marauding pirates. ^_^U

EDIT: and now that I think about it, if I were in the Lucky Star world, not only would I perhaps get to meet the cast, but I'd be really cutely animated. ^_^

I mean, that makes sense, right? Live in a specific world, look that specific way? If you were in a Ghibli movie, you'd look like a Ghibli character.

I would love to live in the Cat Kingdom from The Cat Returns ... lots of kitties to make friends with :) (Of course, the Cat King could want me to marry him *creepy*)
Amestris would also be a cool place to live. Risembool is a beautiful little hamlet.

Hmm, this is hard. It would either be dragon ball z, sailor moon, tenchi muyo/universe or a world combined with these 3 anime series.

Either Strawberry Marshmallow (when kawaii attacks!), NANA (for the drama and music), Lucky Star (sooo colorful!), Sugar Sugar Rune (hello? I get to steal hearts, live in candyland, and be a Princess, what could be better?), Aria (I wanna row a boat! XD), Emma (Beautiful!), Saiunkoku (*__*), Kaleido Star (I don't know too many anime worlds where you can walk on a tight rope all a flame..) or R.O.D. the TV (I want to start my own detective agency and give the 3 sisters competition! =P).

It's impossible to just list one for me. I guess if I had to pick my favorites from that line up it'd be:

Kaleido Star
Aria
Sugar Sugar Rune
NANA

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Earth get COMPLETELY DESTROYED at one point in DBZ?! No, thank you!

You are right, though...this is a tough decision...there are several anime I would love to live in...

Chobits: Come on! Who WOULDN'T want a walking, talking, super cute computer?

Planetes: It's the most BELIEVABLE sci-fi anime I've ever seen. The characters are REAL people with real emotions and complexes.

R.O.D the TV: Gigantic birds made of paper--nuff said.

Lucky Star: Who WOULDN'T want to hang out with Konata?

Nerima Daikon Brothers: One word--NABESHIN.
Joshua: Hebrew -The LORD is Salvation

Well since I started with Tenchi Muyo series as my first anime I guess I would want to be the next door neighbor wondering about all the wild and weird things happening next door.
I guess there a few I would be the next door neighbor calling the insurance company about damages to my house, apartment or car or police because of something weird.
Or being a firefighter neighbor who shows up everytime something happens with the first aid kit or fire extingushier.

Who else thought, What if there was a "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" for anime?

Oh, well... urr.. Anyhoo!

Um, well of course Sailor Moon would seem like an obvious choice for one with my name, I'd have to add a few other choices.

Fruits Basket
OHSHC
Howl's Moving Castle
and last but not least, Haibane Renmei.

Hrrrm.. this is difficult for me considering so many of my favorite anime revolved around the world's demise. hehe

I would so Tsubasa Chronicles (so that Kurogane would be all mine *beats of the adorable Fay*) hehe though... that crosses over with X/1999 and again there is that whole world ending deal...buuut I WOULD get a Mokona! XD
Hmmm... Honey and Clover! <3

I think the alternate reality version of earth from Giant Robo The Animation: The Day the Earth Stood Still would be cool, not counting the whole Shizuma Drive malfunction scenario.

Angelic Layer would be SWEET! I'd love Kalideo Star, but I'm not athletic enough,so I'd fall of the swings or something bad like that XD

Pokemon would be fun : O

At first,I was gonna say 'Sailor Moon!' But then I thought, being some queen of the moon whom is hated by everyone and has a huge life changing destiny and background that you can never get rid of and having to be chased by random monsters everyday and transform all ne-kid like infront of your friends would probely NOT be fun XD *out of breath* Boy,was that or run on sentence or what?!?! Actually, that'd fit with Osamu Tezuka's Star System. He was infamous for reusing various characters in a variety of different Manga, like a film studio recasting popular actors in their next feature.
