April lineup for Adult Swim

Monday-Friday lineup

5:00 am Inuyasha

5:30 am Inyasha

Saturday's lineup from April 5th to April 19th

12:00 am Shin Chan

12:30 am Bleach (new ep)

1:00 am Death Note (new ep)

1:30 am Cowboy Bebop

Reruns of the anime above, air from 3:30 am to 5:00 am

Saturday's lineup from April 26

12:00 am Shin Chan

12:30 am Bleach (new ep)

1:00 am Death Note (new ep)

1:30 am Code Geass

Reruns of the anime above, air from 3:30 am to 5:00 am

Note: Bandai said that Code Gesass will be edited for TV at Boston Con. Most of you know, Adult Swim doesn't edit or does very little editing to anime now a days. The only time that they edit is, for very bad language, and nudity.

Most anime fans are not shock that this is going to happen with Code Gesass, since the content that is in the show. A lot of people question, why Adult Swim even wanted this show in the first place, since its not anime that can be showed uncut like Death Note or Bleach.

April lineup for Toonami

April 5th

9:00 pm Naruto (new ep)

9:30 pm Naruto (new ep)

10:00 pm Blue Dragon (new ep)

10:30 pm Samurai Jack

Due to time, I don't have the full lineup for Toonami. I will post it, when I get back and know if they are going to keep this lineup or not.

Cartoon Network non Toonami lineup for April 5th

9:00 am Blue Dragon

9:30 am Blue Dragon

11:00 am Bakugan

At first, I thought that I had goof. The lineup on AS website showed the lineup that I had, but their super special awesome back door lineup still had the old lineup.

Most of the time, the super special awesome back door lineup changes first, before the lineup that they post on AS web site.

Wow, I wouldn't think Shin Chan would be that popular...(but it is hilarious)
Side note: Shin Chan's voice is a fun one to do...
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

I think Shin Chan is funny. Shin Chan English voice is played by Laura Bailey of all things.

It just doesn't anything like her at all.

Well, looks like Sci Fi channel spoke too soon.

BEI's Yoshida: Gurren Lagann TV Plans Not Finalized

ANN wrote:Bandai Entertainment's newly hired producer, Toshifumi Yoshida, acknowledged in a blog post that he is working on the English dubbed version of Gainax's Gurren Lagann television anime with Bang Zoom! Entertainment and Aniplex producer Hiroe Tsukamoto. He also emphasized that although America's Sci Fi Channel listed Gurren Lagann in its Ani-Monday timeslot on July 28, the deal has not been finalized. Still, Bang Zoom, Tsukamoto, and Yoshida are working to ensure that two new episodes of Gurren Lagann are ready every week starting in July if the television deal is completed. The cast of the English dub will be announced at FanimeCon this weekend at San Jose, California.

Here is what the June lineup will look like for Sci Fi Channel.

June 2 and June 9

11:00 pm Macross Plus

12:00 am Tokko

12:30 an Tokko

June 16

11:00 pm Ninja Scroll

June 23

11:00 pm Kai Doh Maru

12:00 am Blood: The Last Vampire

June 30

11:00 pm Street Fighter II: The animated movie

Also, it has been confirmed that Gurren Lagann will air on the Sci Fi Channel on July 28 and will run two episodes a week untill October.

As of right now, the English dub cast will not be revealed untill later and Bandai licensed the tv and digitial distribution rights to Starz. So, that means that Sci Fi channel hasn't look to other anime companies in getting tv airing rights.

Man, the anime schedule for Toonami has severely shrunk in the last 10 years or so. So now we only get one hour of anime a week from Toonami. (Im not counting AS. That's a different story.)

In Toonami's past they used to you 10 to 15 hours a week(Monday thru Friday. Oh course they'd usually show an anime movie on Friday, but it still filled up the time. They occasionally put three hours a day instead of two. But I can't remember which they used the most. It was either 4-6 or 5-6 pm.) of anime. Although thats not approximate because some of the shows weren't anime like Thundercats. So it probably wasn't that many hours, but it was still like 5 to 8 times more anime than what we get now from Toonami.

I think it was the 5 to 6 pm lineup that you mostly saw anime, untill you had the Batman:TAS and Superman take that hour. I remember Sailor Moon being on at 4 pm.

The first year that Toonami didn't have any anime in 1997, which I didn't know this unitll now. I think that I got Cartoon Network on my cable plan in 1999 or 2000. Here is a list of what animes have been showed on Toonami and the years that they ran.

1998

Sailor Moon (1998-2001)

Dragon Ball Z (1998-1999 and this was the Ocean Group dub)

1999

Ronin Warriors (1999-2001)

Dragon Ball Z (1999-2003 and this was the FUNimation dub)

2000

G-Force: Guardians of Space (2000)

Gundam Wing (2000-2001)

Tenchi Muyo! (2000-2001)

Tenchi Universe (2000-2001)

Tenchi in Tokyo (2000)

Blue Submarine No. 6 (2000)

2001

Outlaw Star (2001-2002)

The Big O (2001)

Cardcaptors (2001)

Mobile Suit Gundam (2001)

08th MS Team (2001)

Dragon Ball (2001-2004)

Gundam 0080 (2001)

Zoids: New Century Zero

2002

Hamtaro (2002)

Zoids: Chaotic Century (2002-2003)

G Gundam

IGPX (the micro-series and IMO the better one)

2003

.hack//SIGN (2003 on the Toonami Super Saturdays)

Martian Successor Nadesico (Giant Robot Week)

Gigantor (Giant Robot Week)

Neon Genesis Evangelion (Giant Robot Week)

Dai-Guard (Giant Robot Week)

Rurouni Kenshin

YuYu Hakusho (2003 on Toonami to 2006)

Cyborg 009

SD Gundam

Dragon Ball GT (2003-2006)

2004

Duel Masters

Astro Boy

Gundam SEED

Rave Master

2005

D.I.C.E.

Zatch Bell

Yu-Gi-Oh!

Wow, you forget that all of these shows at one time came on Toonami. But I do remember one time seeing Inuyasha come on Toonami at like 5:30 or so. My memory is vague but I do remember it being on in that time frame.(Im probably wrong because I even I don't believe it would show on it that time frame, but oh well.) NGE came on Toonami?! I do remember Robot week, but forgot that it came on. Its also hard to believe. They must have done some editing for it to come on Toonami, that or they just showed a safe episode.

Its too bad that the WB has fallen as well. The WB had Pokemon(Where it was seen first. I think from seeing it first in 1999.), YU-GI-OH, and other shows that I liked.

Does anyone remember Jackie Chan Adventures? I also liked that cartoon even though it wasn't anime.

It may have came on after Toonami aired at night time. If they did, I would think they would have edited it a bit, since Inuyasha was hardly edited for Adult Swim, but it may have came on. People still think that I'm crazy for saying that I saw the ending to Gundam 79, after they moved it to late night. Everyone that I have talk to, say they took it off, before airing the last ep and I know that I saw the last ep.

As for NGE on Toomami, it was very much edited and they only aired two of the most safe eps of NGE for Robot week.

I remember Jackie Chan Adventures and watch it on Fox kids or WB, I can't remember which now. I remember seeing the first few eps of Escaflowne on Fox kids, but I stop watching it and waited for the DVD set to come out.

Hmm I believe you. I mean you remember when you said that they moved Yu Yu Hakasho to 5:30 am(This was in the past.), I didn't think it was. But then I realized that that's what did to Case Closed, so they most likely did that. So Im going to believe you about Gundam even though I didn't watch it much.

From Jackie Chan Adventures, I remember Uncle always saying "Ai-yah!" whenever somthing bad happened like a vase breaking or something. I dunno, I just thought it was always funny. "Instead of taking a rabbit's foot, you'd better take the whole rabbit. That's when it's most lucky."(That's another funny line I remember.)

I didn't mean anyone here didn't believe me. It was just most Gundam fans say that Cartoon Network ever showed the last ep of Gundam 79.

Now here is a wild thing that I read today on Atlanta anime e-mail group.

Not only is Sci Fi Channel is going to air Gurren Laggan on July 28th but Now and Then, Here and There is going to air as well on that day.
