What was your first video game system you ever owned?
Mine was the Colecovision. Man those were good times.

The Atari 2600. Actually, my dad bought it when I was a baby. The first console he bought for me was the NES.

NES was the first system bought for us... used for 45 dollars at a yardsale :D And it lasted forever. We did have an atari but I was very little and it was stolen along with all the games when we moved out to CA so I never played it.

An NES that my cousin gave my brother and I one Christmas. XD It was pretty long after the initial release of the NES, and it was actually his old system with lots of his old games, but the fact that it still works (as far as I know) is pretty impressive. XD

Mine was also the colecovision. I loved that system.

Mine was a top loading NES my parents bought for us, because my mom heard that playing video games would enhance my eye-hand cordination, which was terrible at the time. I would still have it to, if my mom wouldn't of pawned it on me a few years ago.

The first console I bought myself was a PS2 I bought my junior year of high school.

My parents had the NES before I had a memory. My frist system that was mine was either the GBC or the N64.

Mine was an Atari Lynx, because my parents didn't know jack squat about video games when they decided to let me have them. I had pinball and a racing game.

My second "console", which wouldn't be too bad to still have, was a Sega Nomad. Basically, it was a Genesis that had been turned into a portable system. It could be used as a home console, too - it had controller ports and a video out and a wall adapter. That was a pretty slick gadget. I had Sonic Spinball (I loved the second stage - it was all steam/industrial with cool music to match), Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (which was also very fun), and some flight sim which I was too afraid to play for fear I'd crash the F-22 (which was and still is my favorite military aircraft ever - I was a jet nut as a child). I was a . . . timid youth. I preferred to watch my friends play video games because I was afraid of losing. Actually, that explains a lot . . .

Fortunately, they eventually figured out that certain consoles were popular and bought me a Nintendo 64 and a Game Boy Color (I had the transparent purple version, which may have been the start of my love for the color purple). However, if I want a Wii today, I'm going to have to get a job and buy one myself. The funny thing is that my mom is actually supportive of my owning one, because she thinks it'll help me meet people. What a change from my early teens, when Mom and Dad were rather leery of video games in general.

Why did I type all that? You got me monologuing!

THIS was my first videogame system. My Dad had a tech-geek for a friend who would just buy the latest thing until he was sick of it. Then he gave this to us. It work well until I was in to the fifth grade.

Probably the computer, but in terms of actual video gaming, the original Game Boy. I got it for my fifth birthday, and my first game was Kirby Pinball Land. Ahh, memories...

The original Nintendo console.
Some of my favorite scriptures.

Psalm91
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Hebrews 4-4
1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

James 4
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

My next one was the ground-breaking NES. Eight Bits of Heaven... *sigh*

Well, my oldest brother had the Atari 2600 since before I could remember. The first system I remember playing was the NES. The NES, SNES, and N64 have to be the best systems ever created!!

The first console my family ever owned was the Atari. My older sisters loved it but I never got a chance to play since I was too young. So, my first console would be the Nintendo which I still didn't get a lot of chances to play due to my sisters but every now and than. Once they grew out of it and I (as well as my other younger sister) dominated the consoles: It was the Sega Genesis (that was my pick they wanted a Super Nintendo), Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Game Cube, Playstation 3, Wii, Xbox 360 Elite. Though I really have no time to play video games anymore unless I let it dominate my weekends ;__; which isn't such a bad idea.

N64...I remember when my dad brought it home for us. We had games like Mario Kart, some James Bond game (lol), and Super Mario. Super Mario was my favorite. Oh, and Paper Mario and all the Mario Party games.

Awesome times...I still have a N64 and I was playing it the other day, but the controller is so hard to use now compared to every other controller for other consoles.

Nintendo Entertainment System. :D I loved that console so much! Bump 'n Jump, Punch Out!, Galaga, Zelda... I had a good early start on gaming. Until my brother pawned it. ;_; (I forgive him though, so it's OK!) We got a SNES around time the N64 came out, right when they started getting cheap. Still have that one somwehere.

First system I bought for myself was a GBA so I could play my GBC ver. of Pokemon Crystal.
