Saint Tail

Everyone has been keeping me busy going over review submissions that I haven't written one of my own for a while! (and that's not a bad thing a'tall ;))

Anyway, we now have an official Saint Tail review!

Great review, Gypsy. I've always wondered what this was about and if it would be worth renting. Thanks. ^_^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Yeah, to anyone interested in checking this anime out, good luck to you. Both the manga and anime have recently gone out of print, and ebay is probably going to be your best bet. The last half of the series was made into a three DVD boxset, and that seems to be the hardest one to find. I got mine at Best Buy after Turbocat encouraged me to check it out (which puts her way high on my "cool" list- thanks, Turbo ;)). After that, I've never seen it available in stores. Probably Suncoast would be able to do a special order or something.

Looks like I'm going to need to make a mad dash for my local Borders.

I went in over the weekend and ordered a copy of book 1 of the manga (my mom got me book 2 for Christmas, but they haven't had book one in stock when I've looked).... guess I should see about getting them all, hmmm... any idea how many books are in the series Gypsy? Maybe I can pick up a couple every other week or something.

There are 7 books total. If you see a volume you don't already have, snatch it!

Hopefully Borders will have enough copies over the next month... I think I can swing the $50 for them, but not at once at this point. (April rent is comming up! :o )

Well, thanks a lot Gypsy. Just when I get my "Anime To Get List" to a manageable size your go and add more titles to it. I've saw the box set (with the last 21 or so episodes in it at Best Buy recently). I'll try to pick it up next time I see it. I'll look for the individual sets on ebay.

I think Dee Boss Mon is still working on that.

Good news for people who haven't run right out of their chairs immediately after hearing Tokyopop was dropping the series: Amazon still has a number of volumes in stock, although a couple are now starting to show up as sold out. Alas, I was holding out for Vol 1, but forgot to check what was available before I bought Vol 2 from Fry's ... ah well, it still has enough context to get into the series

Fry's has a surprising collection of anime, if you happen to hit them at the right time for what you're looking for. Their selection is large but insanely variable. On the other hand, they had the Adventures of Mini Goddess box set for even cheaper than Amazon (and that's not even counting shipping -- I hate to wait for Super Saver  ).

I'm sure you'll like it, Belldandy. I have a pretty good feeling that it's right up your alley. Besides, you have good taste. ;)
