Games You're Waiting For

Postby yukoxholic » Tue Mar 04, 2008 4:09 pm

I don't know about you guys here at the CAA but I am a 'gamer aficionado' where I not only need to know who, what, where, but also when a video game I am dying to play's release date is. ^__^ I was wondering if any of you here are waiting for specific titles to be released?

I am sooo looking forward to the new Tales Of installment "Tales of Vesperia" for the Xbox 360 as well as Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World and Bourque for the Wii! Another interesting title (not to mention visually stunning!) Mirror's Edge for the Xbox 360/PS3 looks completely awesome! Oh! and I can't forget the next Final Fantasy Installment FF-13. and I know this game is already out but Lost Odyssey looks very promising!

So, what titles are you all looking forward too?

I'm gonna lose quite a bit of dough to games this month. Patapon, God of War: Chains of Olympus, and Condemned 2: Bloodshot. I need these games for my life.

- Abraham Kuyper

"God the great Creator of all things doth uphold, direct, dispose, and govern all creatures, actions, and things, from the greatest even to the least, by His most wise and holy providence, according to His infallible foreknowledge and the free and immutable counsel of His own will, to the praise of the glory of His wisdom, power, justice, goodness, and mercy."

-John Piper

"The very One from Whom we need to be saved, is the One Who has saved us."

"All of Christian life is ceaseless worship of God the Father, through the mediatorship of God the Son, by the indwelling power of God the Spirit, doing what God commands in Scripture, not doing what God forbids in Scripture, in culturally contextualized ways, for the furtherance of the Gospel, when both gathered for adoration, and scattered for action, in joyous response to God's glorious grace."
- Mark Driscoll

"Believers do not pray with the view of informing God about things unknown to Him, or of exciting Him to do His duty, or of urging Him as though He were reluctant. On the contrary, they pray in order that they may arouse themselves to seek Him, that they may exercise their faith in meditating on His promises, that they may relieve themselves from their anxieties by pouring them into His bosom; in a word, that they may declare that from Him alone they hope and expect, both for themselves and for others, all good things."
- Martin Luther

"I have to tell you first that I am ready to die. I have put my affairs in order. Your supreme weapon is killing. My supreme weapon is dying, because when you kill me, people all over Romania will read my books and believe on the God that I preach - even more than they do now."
- Dr. Joseph Ton, the exiled Romanian pastor (quoted by James Montgomery Boice)

I think it's already been released, but I remember waiting for Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles to be released a few months ago. I'm also waiting for Final Fantasy XIII and Resident Evil 5.

Okay, so I got those 2 new PSP titles. Dig it:

Patapon - a strategy/rhythm game. Somewhere between Worms and PaRappa. But trust me, it works.

God of War: Chains of Olympus - A prequel. Everybody loves prequels. Essentially, it's God of War to go. Do you want dismemberment with that?
One thing about GoW though . . . I don't understand how all three games have been able to get away with those *ahem* "minigames" toward the beginning. I mean, you'd think that'd be enough to set the ESRB off something fierce.

BRAWL!!!!

Only 40 hours until it is out!

I pre-ordered mine back in November.

Hopefully that means that there will be a copy in stock for me.

I would hate to get to the game store and find that they are all sold out.

EDIT: I just got a call from Gamestop saying that they had my copy waiting for me at the store!

Disgaea 3. Once again, I will wind up buying a console just for one game...

I know you compare it to PaRappa but is it anything like Gitaroo Man at all? I know some people will argue about the PaRappa and Gitaroo Man thing but they are entirely different games IMO...anyway! ^__^
