Hello!
I just found this website about a week ago and thoght it was awesome so i decided to join. Anime rocks. I am sixteen years old and a strong christian, I presently go to a private christian school, but i a few weeks i will be going to a public school just down the street from my house. Its a HUGE change that is kinda scary and exciting for me. I choose my classes two weeks ago, and instead of the ho-hum everyday classes I'm taking at the private school, at the public one I'll be taking; Psycology (my chosen major when i enter college), sculpture,English 11, World History, and creative writing. I'm really excited, i need a change in my life. Well, what else...oh i'm a writer and a really big reader, I read only christian fiction and i only listen to christian music, no mainstream. God is awesome and the center of my life. well if you have any questions feel free to ask me anytime.
In Christ,
Amanda:angel:

Hey there Amanda, its really wonderful you decided to sign up for the CAA. I go to a private christian school myself, so I know how big a change it could be for you. But even so my class is not what you would call mature in the faith, they all seem to forget how to act christianly. I want to take Psychology myself as well when I get to college. I took world history last year, very interesting stuff. Ive never really liked to write that much, but oddly enough im in a class where you write alot, which is AP Literature and Compositon. So its great you want be a writer, do you have any particular genres in mind for writing about?(Like a mystery, drama, action, or comedy?) And yeah, I hardly listen to music myself, I do prefer christian music though. So I hope you do well at your new school, and I also you will come to CAA whenever you can(It really is a great place to be at for good christian interaction about anime and other things.) I hope you enjoy yourself alot!

- Abraham Kuyper

"God the great Creator of all things doth uphold, direct, dispose, and govern all creatures, actions, and things, from the greatest even to the least, by His most wise and holy providence, according to His infallible foreknowledge and the free and immutable counsel of His own will, to the praise of the glory of His wisdom, power, justice, goodness, and mercy."

"All of Christian life is ceaseless worship of God the Father, through the mediatorship of God the Son, by the indwelling power of God the Spirit, doing what God commands in Scripture, not doing what God forbids in Scripture, in culturally contextualized ways, for the furtherance of the Gospel, when both gathered for adoration, and scattered for action, in joyous response to God's glorious grace."
- Mark Driscoll

"Believers do not pray with the view of informing God about things unknown to Him, or of exciting Him to do His duty, or of urging Him as though He were reluctant. On the contrary, they pray in order that they may arouse themselves to seek Him, that they may exercise their faith in meditating on His promises, that they may relieve themselves from their anxieties by pouring them into His bosom; in a word, that they may declare that from Him alone they hope and expect, both for themselves and for others, all good things."
- Martin Luther

"I have to tell you first that I am ready to die. I have put my affairs in order. Your supreme weapon is killing. My supreme weapon is dying, because when you kill me, people all over Romania will read my books and believe on the God that I preach - even more than they do now."
- Dr. Joseph Ton, the exiled Romanian pastor (quoted by James Montgomery Boice)

"The best prayer I ever prayed had enough sin in it to condemn the whole world."

animedude90, yeah it kinda scary the change i will be ging through, but i think its really time for a change. My school is just like yours even though it is a christian school, the people here don't really care and don't act like it at all. Its hard, and lately its felt like a shell, i don't really know how to explain it but its like i can't grow in my faith or in my life. So i decided to change it. hmm, as for the writing, I'm in the middle of writing a story about an chinese international adoption, starting with the brith mother and then going back and forth between the adoptive parents and the birth mother. I also write alot of poetry, that i will soon post!

Honestly, I can't even imagine what it must be like to go from one school to a totally different one. Id rather deal with the people I have in my class already(only one more year and a half to go!) than transfer into some big school where I don't know a soul. So my I tip my hat to you for doing so(Not that Im wearing a hat), but your really courageous to go to a public school right after being in a somewhat christian invironment. But I should suspect there will most likely be christians in your new school, so try to find them and stick with them if you like. If you want you could also witness to people at your new school as well through your writing skills maybe? I dunno, Im just trying to make it as less a shock. Ive been in my private christian school my whole life( 13 years to be exact) and can't really imagine what it must be like in a public school. So I hope your first day goes well!
