Konichiwa!

Postby DarkSun » Sun Nov 04, 2007 6:45 pm

I probably misspelled that.

Hey everyone! My name is Bob, I like *gasp* ANIME! and MANGA! I'm also into music, mainly metal. That's pretty much all I can think of by way of an introduction. I look forward to posting! =)

EDIT: Oh yeah listing my favorite series would help. DX
I finished the anime of Death Note and I'm reading the manga, same with Trigun and Fullmetal Alchemist. I was watching Cowboy Bebop, but then I was surprised by an uncensored topless shot that took me off-guard and I probably won't be watching that anymore. I'm about halfway through the Naruto manga, but to be honest it's gotten pretty boring and I'm not sure if I feel like continuing to read it. I really liked the Hellsing OVA, but my parents won't let me watch (perhaps with good reason). I think that's about it; I've only been into anime for about a year.

hello and welcome to CAA. hope you find your time here enjoyable. i'm disappointed that you stopped watching cowboy bebop, since it's my favorite anime. if you've seen up to that episode, in the series, then i suggest finishing the series because i'm pretty sure there's no more nudity after that episode...or you can simply wait til you're older...

"All of Christian life is ceaseless worship of God the Father, through the mediatorship of God the Son, by the indwelling power of God the Spirit, doing what God commands in Scripture, not doing what God forbids in Scripture, in culturally contextualized ways, for the furtherance of the Gospel, when both gathered for adoration, and scattered for action, in joyous response to God's glorious grace."
- Mark Driscoll

"Believers do not pray with the view of informing God about things unknown to Him, or of exciting Him to do His duty, or of urging Him as though He were reluctant. On the contrary, they pray in order that they may arouse themselves to seek Him, that they may exercise their faith in meditating on His promises, that they may relieve themselves from their anxieties by pouring them into His bosom; in a word, that they may declare that from Him alone they hope and expect, both for themselves and for others, all good things."
- Martin Luther

"I have to tell you first that I am ready to die. I have put my affairs in order. Your supreme weapon is killing. My supreme weapon is dying, because when you kill me, people all over Romania will read my books and believe on the God that I preach - even more than they do now."

Hey Darksun and welcome to the CAA! Yeah, FMA and Deathnote are cool! Its good to hear you like anime and that you just recently became apart of it, you rule Otaku(And if you don't know what that means, keep watching anime and reading manga to find out.)! I think I got into anime about your age, so don't sweat it! I might be able to name some other anime you might like, like Bleach(Great anime), Yu yu Hakasho(Its long but its great.), DBZ(Yeah, if your really patient its a good series), Case Closed(A personal favorite, mainly because its a mystery anime.), Eureka 7( Pretty good), Inuyasha(I seriously doubt you haven't heard of this anime, but I like it alot.), Samurai Champloo(You may want to look into this anime when you get a little older, Im not sure how you are content wise, but its a little funny here and there and has action). I know more but thats good for now. Why did I give you that big list of anime? Im sorta under the assumption(And yes, you should never assume) that you really are new to the anime game and may like good anime shows to see. For I all I know you could know every anime show! But I can't be too sure, so here you go! Oh and have fun at the CAA!

Yes I know what otaku means, I started to consider myself one after eating pocky. xD

I'm reading Bleach currently, I guess I forgot to list it. I'm only on volume 11 though (the library is slow <_<). I'll check out those other anime you suggested, thank you! Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone. =)

Do you have a bookstore near you like Barnes and Noble or Books-a-million? They have many more volumes of Bleach, I think up to vol 21(But Im not quite sure). I know they are $10 a pop, but if you want be able get stuff quicker you should look into it. (That may have came out wrong, but I wasn't trying to be mean.)
