I guess the only way Salior Moon would draw interest would be if it had all new art and story line and update everything about the series.
Would what the series story lines had back when it was made really shock the public today?
Two Salior Scouts who have love for each other or females who dress has males?
I myself would like to see the whole series from start to finish and wonder would they go father with the series like into the future.

Indeed. And it seems like Usagi has a really bad relationship with her family during the Sailor Star series. Maybe they could make a soap opera out of it, about how Darean is only taking care of Usagi out of obiligation/duty as a guardian, and how Usagi struggle in her peaceful life due to her lack of education. Or it could turn into a drama shows about how Sailor Scouts don't really exist and it is Usagi's hallucination as her escape of the demanding world.

Yeah.... they don't be making anything new with it anytime soon...

I wouldn't mind a short series that's actually BASED on the manga, though. Some good backstory and stuff in there left out from the series.

Reminds me of that TV show St. Elsewhere, where the entire series was dreamed up by an autistic kid staring into a snow globe.

it'd be so nice to see it dubbed, I miss Sailor Moon so much....I hadn't even finished watching S or Super S yet, CN took it off before I could catch up with all of it. Plus I looked for the DVDs in Best Buy months ago and couldn't find them, I guess Ebay is my only option... *sweatdrop*

The Salior Moon and just about a good number of the box sets are bootlegs.

If you look at who is the manufacturer for most of the sets, it says Mac

MAC name is Manga Anime Cartoon and a major bootleg group.

S and SuperS were sub-par compared to the first two, in my opinion. However, if someone might redub the whole thing, I hope they cast and act better (and they'd better make Luna sound younger).

As far a Stars goes: I couldn't accurately express my feelings without some version of profanity. People don't need to see that. Haruka and Michiru were tolerable, but the Starlights? I feel ill.

My other concern in twofold: 1) If they cut the other series (plural), will they edit out the death? I saw nothing wrong with it. Also, 2) Are they going to edit out the nudity, homosexuality, etc? Because if they show it to kids that way, I'm gonna have a problem with it. They're so impressionable.

You won't have to worry about. Toei is not going to unlocked their lockdown on Sailor Moon anytime soon.

I also can't see Toei re-doing the seires over. The magical girl genre is just about dead. The genre was big in the 1980's in Japan, but that has shift to more realistic romance storylines.

It would be a waste of time and money for Toei if they did a remake.

Your Wrong this thing WILL happen, just you watch. who ever gets the rights will be more liberal with the show and sell it Uncut. They can just show it on either adult swim or on toonami. The show could be Rated TV-PG lsv or TV-14

And Hey,DBZ was re-dubbed uncut,so why not Sailor Moon.

They're not going to show it on Adult Swim. Sailor Moon is a kids' show. Adult Swim is for mature anime, which Sailor Moon is not.

They also are not going to show it on Toonami uncut, because of the nudity and because of the gay relationships. Naruto gets away with some blood, but blood is a bit different.
And Hey,DBZ was re-dubbed uncut,so why not Sailor Moon.

Because DBZ was more popular than Sailor Moon could ever hope to be, for one. It's been called the most popular anime of all time for a reason, a claim Sailor Moon can't make, especially after it was dropped off of so many channels, repeatedly, in the past.

Second, and perhaps most importantly, Toei did not have a lockdown on DBZ. Toei DOES have a lockdown on Sailor Moon. Toei has said, repeatedly, that they are NOT going to allow Sailor Moon to be relicensed in the US. As long as they say that, it is impossible for any company to redub it.

Toei is not unlocking the Sailor Moon franchise. They are currently locked in a ownership battle for the SM properties with Naoko Takeuchi. It is currently in the Japanese court system, being worked on.

Whatever, you can live in deamland for all I care.

But I'm not going to trust any of this news and here are the reasons why,

A. Every post that someone has question you, you don't reply to it. I take that all you can do is just yell, you are wrong to those people now and not give a good reason to believe this, maybe you need to get to your sources on that one.

B. There hasn't been one word about this so called news on any of the anime news web sites. If the story was true, we would have heard about it.

C. And now the best reason of all.

You said that your sources told you this and btw, you never name your sources one bit.

Now other Companies have shown some intrest in dubbing the series. And although the rights are still up for grabs, Manga Entertainment,Viz,Pioneer, and Funimation have all expressed a bit of intrest. Geneon, however, seems to be the most interested in bringing the series here dubbed and uncut. As for how the Voice Acting will be,there will either be American or West Canadian{ocean group} VA's for the series...it will no longer be dubbed in Toronto, that much I Do know.

Then your sources don't know that Pioneer and Geneon are the same company.

Also, they must have been living under a rock for a month and a half, when this was all said. Because Genon USA has close their practical purposes and all in September and this post was made in late Oct. So, I would think if a source that had inside news would freaking know that Genon is Pioneer and that Genon USA had closed up.

There are a lot people that report anime news and yes, there are times that we get the news wrong. But I will not sit here and let someone make up a news story, just because they hear it from a so called sources.

You are free to think what ever you want and I don't live in a dreamland. I just want Sailor Stars to be dubbed uncut. And who the [Mod Snip] could blame me,after what Dic and Cloverway did to the rest of series. I also think that an Uncut and Dubbed Sailor Stars would open up the door to re-dubbing the rest of the series.

Call me what you want, but I am a hard-core Sailor Moon fan that hates the current dub with a passion. Now Let's Lock This Baby.

BTW,4Kids DID lose the rights to the Tokyo Mew Mew Dub.

I love how you bump the thread and THEN ask for it to be locked after people prove you wrong.

Wanting something to happen doesn't make it true. And just because you're a self-proclaimed "hardcore Sailor Moon fan" doesn't mean you should go off spouting information that has no base to it.

I'm Sorry,I didn't mean any harm. It's just that I hate that dub with a passion and I hate it when someone underestimates the power of the Sailor Moon Fan Base.We are stronger then we seem (of course we're mere peons compared to the DBZ fanbase, but thats not the point). I also refuse to watch the sub on youtube(mainly because my computer doesn't load the video fast enough and their is only too few subbed eps to begin with.),but that's another story.

And I guess I did lie about the whole "Sailor Stars getting dubbed" thing. I'm sorry for that.I'm sorry for lying to my friends here at CAA. My Intentions were not bad. I only wanted to get some attention and rally some christian support for getting the series dubbed. On the Brightside, I WAS right about 4Kids losing the rights to the Tokyo Mew Mew dub.

Anyway,I apologize for my little rant and playing Lucifer. Please Forgive Me,I ment no harm.

That reminds me of a certain foreign (non-asian) movie I saw... Which was really depressing and surprisingly violent for what it was... And has a haunting soundtrack and sacriligeous analogies and paints communists as good guys. But I digress...

So, this news was probably buffalo chips since it brought up Geneon... As for the Americanized Sailormoon... We already HAVE that, it's the DiC dub. And Barbie Dolls... Hahahahaha, at its finest. EDIT: I didn't see any of the other drama here, though. Thought the topic was still open. Ah, well.

Again my humble apologies for making up the whole "Sailor Stars" thing. Anyway,I don't think the DiC dub could be concidered the Americanised Sailor Moon. What the heck?,they Japanized the Power Puff Girls. and the Power Puffs are even LESS popular than Sailor Moon.

An American Sailor Moon would be great, but ONLY If they do it right.

Um, no.

PPG (at it's peak) was insanely popular in the USA, and even to this day, is much more popular in Japan than it ever was here.

Well, to "Americanize" means to to take someone or something from a different culture and make it blend into American culture as much as possible. In that case, then the DiC dub *is* the Americanized version, due to the name changes, the editing, and such.

While a redub of Sailor Moon would be nice, it's unrealistic at this point.

Honestly, guys...look at the stuff 4Kids does to anime, and then tell me honestly that the DiC Sailor Moon is worse than that. Yes, they changed some names. Is that kind of lame? Yes. But they at least kept the story mostly intact, and the name changes were still in the spirit of the original names. (I actually hate the name "Usagi" and like "Serena" much better, but that's just me.) Heck, Rei and Ami even had the same names, just spelled differently. XD

Sorry, I just get irritated when people bash on the English dub. I do prefer the subbed version, but the dub is special to me too.

I totally agree without that very dub we would never have heard of Sailor Moon. Now because of that dub I have all the Sailor Moon subed.
