Hey there

Postby HiddenWoodchuck » Thu Oct 04, 2007 9:56 pm

Hello!

I'm new here obviously :P and just wanted to post here first and introduce myself. I have lurked the site a few times when I was looking for anime reviews a while back, and I thought it was about time I join up and post a little. I have been into anime for a couple years now. I think the very first one that got me interested was Full Metal Panic! as I loved the story and the humor... the only problems were the fanservice and heavy profanity in a couple episodes, but otherwise I love animes like that one. I have since gotten into Bleach, Witch Hunter Robin, .Hack//Sign, Gunparade March, Last Exile, Ah! My Goddess, Ghost in the Shell, DNAngel, Solty Rei and I love Cowboy Bebop. I watch a little Naruto here and there also and countless others, but those are some of my favorites, and I am sure I will have more. I haven't watched any Gundam yet, but hopefully I will like that... and I have only seen the one Robotech movie. The Shadow Chronicles one I think? I also liked the Millennium Actress, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Origin Spirits of the past movies... I bought the Geneshaft collection not long ago and haven't got to watch it yet, so I guess that is my next one to try out.

Uhm, so yeah I don't think anyone wants to read all that lol but I would love to hear any suggestions for anime I may like. I can't wait to make friends on here! I don't have many friends who like anime, so this is pretty cool haha. I'm praying that whoever I marry someday will love anime as much as I do lol as it's much better to watch with someone.

I'm making this pretty long, but the other things about me I am sure people will come to learn from me posting here. I'm a strong Christian, and I have been for the last few years. I rededicated my life to Christ after he helped me out of really bad depression many years back in my mid-teens. It's an amazing thing, and it has been a blessing to use that to help others going through depression and anxiety.

I have many interest... I love photography and music, and I am big into sports and gaming... I love vehicles and driving... etc, and I could go on, but I am gonna stop here. :wow!: I really don't talk lots in person, but this was a bit much for an intro post. I'm sorry for writing a mini-novel  thanks for reading and I can't wait to meet everyone!

God Bless. :thumb:

Welcome!

Ooh, I want to see some more Gundam, too. I really liked G Gundam, maybe you should try it out sometime.

And you're right, it is more fun to watch anime with other people.

I've really wanted to start watching it, I just got confused at first, because it seemed like there were so many different ones, that I didn't know where to start... I wasn't sure just which Gundam to start watching first haha, but if it is pretty good, I will check them out.

Yeah, I can watch anime alone, but it just isn't the same. I could watch entire series at once if someone was watching with me, and it is just so much fun when they are into it as much as you... especially when I am watching an anime with random humor in it. :)

Thanks for all the welcomes everyone! Thanks goldenspines for the comment about my intro. :)

- Abraham Kuyper

"God the great Creator of all things doth uphold, direct, dispose, and govern all creatures, actions, and things, from the greatest even to the least, by His most wise and holy providence, according to His infallible foreknowledge and the free and immutable counsel of His own will, to the praise of the glory of His wisdom, power, justice, goodness, and mercy."

-John Piper

"The very One from Whom we need to be saved, is the One Who has saved us."

"All of Christian life is ceaseless worship of God the Father, through the mediatorship of God the Son, by the indwelling power of God the Spirit, doing what God commands in Scripture, not doing what God forbids in Scripture, in culturally contextualized ways, for the furtherance of the Gospel, when both gathered for adoration, and scattered for action, in joyous response to God's glorious grace."
- Mark Driscoll

"Believers do not pray with the view of informing God about things unknown to Him, or of exciting Him to do His duty, or of urging Him as though He were reluctant. On the contrary, they pray in order that they may arouse themselves to seek Him, that they may exercise their faith in meditating on His promises, that they may relieve themselves from their anxieties by pouring them into His bosom; in a word, that they may declare that from Him alone they hope and expect, both for themselves and for others, all good things."
- Martin Luther
