This happened with Hellsing, too. Apparently the sources I use do a bad job of numbering chapters by volume (they have some of the 40s listed as in volume 6).

I'm also reading Death Note, however, I find I like to spend a little more time on that one...the art and story are just too much love to skip through =O! Problematically, I lack time, so the entire series is on my shelf...and I'm not reading it at the moment x.x

I've read that as well. It's really more like an extended one-shot followed by a series, at least that is how it seems to me. Rose Hip Zero seems likely to become equally graphic is we meet more characters with blades, but it's well within tolerable levels. It is nice to see that GTO's author can actually create a decent story.

I've started in on 'Ghost Hunt' after thoroughly enjoying the Anime. Read volumes 1&2 thus far. Also started on 'Brain Powered', also vols 1&2.
BTW, I just about fell over laughing at Borders yesterday. I noticed a rack of SAT/ACT preparation materials, which included two TOKYOPOP American Manga titles. They've released special versions of Van Von Hunter #1 and PsyComm #1 each with 300 vocabulary words highlighted and defined for the students! I had no idea that mangaka were such an erudite assemblage of literati!

i actually found GTO to be a good manga. if it weren't for all the fan service, crude/sex-related humor, and swearing, the series would've turned out to be a lot better. either way though, i thought the story was good, the characters were very likable, and the manga mixed humor with drama brilliantly.
anyways, i just read Claymorre volume 3. with the introduction of what seems to be another major character, i have a feeling that the series is going to be quite epic. in a way, the series somewhat reminds me of Berserk.

yeah. it's good stuff. definitely "R" material though. a lot of sexual material, swearing, and fan service. but good, nonetheless. probably one of my top 10 mangas. if you want it cleaner, watch the anime.

For the record, I disliked GTO enough to not finish it. The humor really didn't work for me and I didn't feel it had enough substance otherwise. But that's me and plenty of people do like it.

Continuing to read individual chapters of many series, due to a site being back up and my SJ arriving today. Notable is a good bit of Superior Volume 4, which continues to walk the line between brilliant and irritating. We'll see.

You're reading some good volumes right now. That is one of the most critical points in Bleach and the one that actually made me care about the series more than as an idle shonen. Father is also one of the most interesting FMA characters and I thought the chapters in which he is introduced are some of the best.
