The Wallflower / Perfect Girl Evolution

I heard about this title from someone else, and I was desperately wondering if anyone else knows about it/can tell me more?

From wikipedia:

The plot revolves around four gorgeous guys: Takenaga Oda, Yukinojo Toyama (usually referred to as "Yuki" in the series), Ranmaru Morii, and Kyohei Takano, who must transform the homely and reclusive Sunako into a beautiful lady in order to receive free rent.

It seems much more than that, but I really want to know. Apparently it has been licensed by ADV. I really really want to check this series out. I hate to admit it, but I have a soft spot for stories about girls who have an unconventional beauty, to put it nicely. C: It gives me hope on the inside.

EDIT: Oops.....this is the anime thread. My post pertains to the manga version. Sorry about that!

Having read the first 5 volumes, it's still pretty entertaining. The lead character starts to reveal her face by then and actually...
She's quite beautiful, almost as pretty as the guys. So, in a way, the evolution (physically) isn't such a challenge. I was hoping that she wouldn't look that good but oh well, you still have that unconventional personality XD......
If you don't mind ridiculously pretty looking bishies, this series is quite good.

I saw this in the bookstore a while back (months ago to be precise). I read the back and flipped through the first few pages of chapter one in the first volume. I was wondering if there is any questionable content. Does anybody know anything more about it? It looked interesting. I might try it... someday. If I could only hear from a good source (you guys) what its all about.

I've seen the anime and it stays pretty close to the manga in my opinion. The most objectionable content is that Sunako is a horror movie/theme fanatic so she watches some very bloody movies and loves organs and specimans in jars. >_>

The romance side is somewhat downplayed in this series. It's mostly a comedy and also a coming of age show I guess since Sunako does make some progress as the guys work on here.

Oh here's the basic plot: In middle school the guy Sunako had a crush on said she was ugly which made her snap. Now she doesn't care about her appearance and does horror related things all day long (when she's not doing housework). She also can't stand looking at beautiful people and get's nosebleeds. Which is a problem for her cause the 4 guys are VERY beautiful.

Her aunt has no idea about Sunako's horror craze so she invites her to come and live in her mansion while she is gone on business trip. The guys are already renting there and she tells them that if they can turn Sunako into a real lady they will get free rent. The guys are broke so they agree but they havn't met Sunako yet (so BIG mistake on their part).

Oh, you know how I hate those pretty boys. *harrasses Barnes and Nobles employees to get her copy of Fruits Basket.*

I'd read about the series a long time ago and thought it sounded interesting. Hmm. I'd like to look into it. :)
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
