Hey, guys, I need to go to be in a little bit, so i'll try to be short and sweet. As I've stated in a previous thread, I've joined the Cross Country team. I've been training for the past few weeks and I can already notice getting in better shape. It's also helping me get into a better sleeping routine for school which will be starting in about a week and a half. All that stuff is great, but I still feel kinda down. Like, my sleeping schedule has gotten so outta wack, whenever i get home from running in the morning, i just take a nap and sit around and watch tv. I guess the lack of sleep plays a big part, plus the fact that school's coming and it's gonna be my last year has me feeling a little bummed. My battle with lust feels like it's going in circles, and I've been getting really nostalgiac and dwelling a lot on the past(playing a lot of oldschool mario kart and Star fox) and i guess it's just kinda a coping mechanism. well, I know this is just a phase i go through and once i get settled into the new school year, things will be all good once again. I guess this is more just cuz i wanted to tell somebody, but prayer is most appreciated. take care, guys. thanks

Footprints in the sand by Carolyn Joyce Carty

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of foot prints in the sand: one belonging to him the other to the lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the foot prints in the sand.

He noticed that name times along the path of his life there was only one set o footprints.

He also noticed that it was at the lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the lord about it:

"lord, you said once i decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But i have noticed during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of foot prints. I dont understand why when i needed you most you would leave me."

The lord replied:

"My son, my precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that i carried you."
