The dude was an extremely humble servant of God (a lay Dominican(preacher order) brother)

I started Life Teen in its first year here in Plainview, also a joint operation between the three churchs here, (you see, I used to go to one church but kinda transfered over to Sacred Heart when LifeTeen started) It was in the summer before I was a junior in high school, little did I know how much that program would change my life, change it for Christ, four years later and now I hope to enter seminary next fall

Ignatius Loyola...hmm. I remember him mentioned a lot at the Jesuit University I used to go to (Regis).

I kind of regret not getting involved with other believers there, but I will say that I was astounded by one thing about many of the kids that found themselves at Regis. I was astounded at the lostness of them. Some were caught up in the externals of Catholicism; some were very liberal and politically outspoken; Others were hypocritically claiming a faith but not letting it affect their lives or bring them to repentance.

I was floored that this "religious" school had so many who were lost because they had been convinced somewhere along the way that they did not need Christ, or that they could get by on the traditions of their parents. So many could dispute intelligently matters of politics or religion, but when it came down to it, they didn't know the simple message of the Gospel. It broke my heart.

I pray that you are a force to communicate the Gospel clearly to the teens you work with, and that God will use you to prevent those teens from becoming like so many of those I saw during my year at Regis: Full of beliefs and convictions, but still utterly lost.

St. Ignatius was the founder of the Jesuits. Unfortunately they are not quite what they used to be. The situation you have described is sadly typical of many Jesuit schools. I doubt you could call them Christian schools anymore other than on the basis that they were founded by Christians. We really need to pray for a renewal in the Jesuits.

It wouldn't be right to end this post without mentioning that there are still good Jesuits out there, but the order as a whole needs some work.

I am planning on diocesan, I think I will go to Assumption Seminary in San Antonio, but then I've changed that several times, from religious Jesuit, to religious Congregation of Holy Cross in Notre Dame, to diocesan, back to CHC, but I feel alot more firm about going into diocesan work now

What is diocesan work? I don't understand the distinction between that and religious. (I'm not Catholic, and am woefully ignorant thereof...)

Diocese are the geographic regions that the Catholic Church is divided into. Each diocese is headed by a bishop. I, for example, am a member of the Diocese of Phoenix. A diocesan priest serves in his diocese or wherever his bishop sends him. A religious priest belongs to one of several religious orders (Franciscan, Dominicans, Jesuits just to name a few) and isn't bound to a diocese, but serves wherever his superiors in the order send him, or live in a monastery etc.
