Struggling with making a decision

Hey, guys. Can you pray for me? As most of you know, I was hoping to get into a master's program. But right now, I'm starting to doubt that Rehabilitation Counseling is where God wants me to be. I was excited about it at first for a long time, and now it's died off. I know I shouldn't base decisions around my feelings, but I don't want to deceive myself in following through with entering a graduate program that's not in line with what God wants me to do.

Also, I've gotten this growing desire to start writing books or poems, which anyone can do, but I want to take classes to improve my writing skills.

Whether this means changing my major from one field to another or possibly attending another school is unclear. I spoke to my parents about this, and they did say to check into Liberty Baptist University once again, but more importantly to pray hard about this. I want to help people with special needs like those that my clients have, but I also want to write and impact people that way as well.

I was really confused and upset about this before. Prayer and support will be much appreciated. Thank you all .

Hmm tough decision indeed. Well first off just keep praying to God. (Of course you knew that, I was just reinforcing it.) But you should try to do what you want to do. Just think about which you like more. If you want to try writing, then try it. If you find it hard or not as much to your liking then switch back. Yeah of course if you switch back then you'll have to work hard to get back to it and thats the same the other way around. Id say do what you want to do and what you think God might want you to do. Yep thats hard, but thats life. Another one is to find which you can do more to help people to find Christ. While counseling others you can tell them about God's love for them and how much He wants them to find Him. Or you can also write good inspiring christian books that may also help others to Christ and thats the same for poems. Yes this be a tough decision but I know you'll make the right choice, so may God be with you to make the right one. I'll be praying for you.

Just finished talking with Mith online about the whole thing. If this is what the Lord wants, I'll stick with working to get in the Rehabilitation Counseling program. If I don't get in right away, I can take some filler courses . Mith also helped me get inspired to write my letter of intent. Thanks a lot, Mith!
