What's this crud I hear about Pokemon and Wi-Fi?

I heard recently that Nintendo has banned legendaries from Wi-Fi battles. Is this true, or is a buncha hot air?

I hope it's true. Kids get too dependant on legendaries and lose scope of the strategies they need to implement.

Agreed, however it's unfortunate because Uber-tier fights can be a lot of fun, and if Legendaries are banned then Uber-tier battles won't be possible.

But the latest news is:

It would seem that, according to many people in some unconfirmed reports that Nintendo has not placed a ban upon the legendaries, but rather a glitch in the WiFi Connection system prevents your Battle Passes with the legendaries in from being accepted. According to a variety of reports, if you reset the Battle Pass, it should work, but we do not know whether this was an intentional thing and this is a way to get round it or whether it was actually a glitch. We'll keep you aprised on any further developments

Hm...actually, I recall being able to use Palkia in some random WiFi battles, but Hypersock couldn't use one of his non-standard legendaries in WiFi. I'll tell him to try it again.

Darkrai and Arcreus haven't been officially released in America yet. Meaning you guys either hacked them yourselves, or, more likely, obtained hacked versions through the GTS.

Yeah...

I have an AR, but I don't use it to hack stats. I only use it to get rare Pokemon.

I think banning legendaries from vs. battles is a good idea, though I think they should have a way to make uber-tier battles still available.

I think using them in regular game is fine, though, seeing as I'm not nearly as dogmatic as my dear friend everdred is. :)

Well, It is kind of a good idea, because, on the plus side, you won't have to deal with a team full of legendaries.
