Master Dias: yes, there is a lot of Christian music that has secular roots to it...i guess what i meant, is that current Christian music should not appear to be so similar to current secular music. There needs to be a difference.
Icarus: no offense, man, but the target of worship (Christian music) should be God, not the unbelievers, and much less ourselves. As for not listening to music because you don't like it, well, that's a decision they (whoever it may be) must make.
Skynes: I'm not sure what you're saying. I believe that if music is hindering your walk with Christ, you shouldn't listen to it. Now if Christian Heavy Metal blesses you, well, that's between you and Christ. Does it keep your mind focused on the things above? Does it remind you that there is a spiritual plane to this existence? Do you remember the blessings of God? Just trying to help man.

EastWest
"Wake"
Now I see the end
And everything is gone
As I begin move
And I begin to see
That all I want to do
Is be in here with You
And all I want to do
Is to see Your face
You will wake me
And now I see this life
As it begins to shine
As I begin to move
And I begin to see
That all I want to do
Is be in here with You
And all I want to do
Is to see Your face
Now I lay here broken
Waiting to see you
With my eyes wide open
All I want...all I want...is to see Your face
Sounds like it's from Hell? Gimme a break. That's purebred opinion. I fall asleep to songs like this. If that's the case, then the Gaither Vocal Band is demonic.
Pop needs to die anyway, but as always, that's my opinion...
Ouch! You cut me deep...*Hope* wrote:I mean if it had agonized screaming or something i can understnad
Zilch wrote:Because they supposedly listen to the "good" music, any music they don't like the sound of, they can call evil. But, hey, we can't do that...grr...
Hitokiri wrote:I was going to email them bout how stupid they are and I did write to them but after I finished ryping the long letter on how offended I was by what they said. I thought making fun of them and calling them liers, etc wasn't the best Christian approach and didn't portray a Christ-like attitude, so I deleated it and never sent it.
They obviously have some very mixed up moral values.
skynes wrote:'mixed up' is too light a term for what I would use... But still, probably part of a group that believes that Christians are capable of NOT sinning at all.

And any Christian that does sin... Well They're obviously not a Christian, but a wolf in sheeps clothing, a pretender, a hypocrite.
But US! We're perfect!!! We sin not! We think not any evil! WE ARE PERFECTION!!!
