Where did you get your aura of coolness? Or did it just develop over time, like mold?

- Mark Driscoll

"Believers do not pray with the view of informing God about things unknown to Him, or of exciting Him to do His duty, or of urging Him as though He were reluctant. On the contrary, they pray in order that they may arouse themselves to seek Him, that they may exercise their faith in meditating on His promises, that they may relieve themselves from their anxieties by pouring them into His bosom; in a word, that they may declare that from Him alone they hope and expect, both for themselves and for others, all good things."

Origin of Username - Complex Version

When I first got really hooked on videogames (about 9 or 10), I used to create videogame concepts and ideas for fun. I was totally fascinated by the videogame medium (I still am =P). I didn't plan on growing up to eventually pursue a career in game design, this would occur later. (Currently in progress.)

So, back then, I would often create various game ideas in my head and doodle out level maps for fun (I got in trouble in school for doing this instead of paying attention. =P)

This hobby left me for quite some time as I hit my early teen years, and video games lost some of their importance to me (although I still played frequently).

My "passion" for gaming ended up getting revived in full blast at age 14 when I discovered RPGs. (Zelda, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy). I was completely enthralled by the idea of games actually having detailed story lines and well crafted characters. Somewhere around that time, I half-decided I wanted to someday be a game designer and make, surprise surprise, RPGs.

I even went as far as to toy with a few RPG Making programs but lost interest in them cause they were too limited. I did, however, come up with a full RPG concept. I came up with a world, it's characters, and a basic plotline.

Nothing came out of it. But unlike the daydream games I used to come up with as a child, the idea for this particular game never left me. I thought about it often (still do), and somehow, the world and characters and story kept growing in my head. I turned the concept for a single RPG concept into several games.

It is, as of today, the only game idea I fully intend to make a reality sometime in the distant future.

As you may have guessed, "Azier" is one of the main characters of this series.

He was pretty much the second or third character I created, and is thus one of the most important to the overall storyline.

My decision to use Azier as my screename came as simply wanting to use something more original than my previous one - "Chris4150", and for some reason, I picked "Azier".

Azier is nothing like my own personality. Nor is Azier based off me in any way, shape or form. He is simply one of my favorite (more complex) characters I came up with.

In case you are wondering, Azier's personality/role in the game is actually that of an antagonist/anti-hero. He is also, indeed, a swordsman.

How the name 'Azier' was created.

Making up fantasy names is not one of my biggest strongpoints. It can take a while for me to come up with a name for one new character I decide to add. With Azier I got a tad lazy. I was playing around with different words, trying to come up with something catchy. I just happened to watching Dragonball Z at the time, the Goku/Frieza fight.

Somehow, I started playing with Frieza's name and ended up reversing it, dropped the F, and reverse the i and e. And thus 'Azier' was born. I kinda dug the name, and kept it.

Note that I rarely create character names like this. Usually they are totally made up off the top of my head. ;)

I typed 'Auron' in Google image search?

Auron is pretty much my favorite video game character. Not to mention he fits with my screenname quite well.

Origin of Subsequent Subtitle

I couldn't think of anything to put there. So I made something up.

Top 5 Anime

These are not in any particular order.

One Piece

Gundam Wing

Dragonball

Rurouni Kenshin

Cowboy Bebop

Manga

I haven't actually read a whole lot of manga, so I can't really give any concrete answer on this one. (This year I plan to really catch up on my manga reading.) The one series that has impressed me the most so far, I will say, is After School Nightmare.
