Nightmares

Hark, Hark, Indeed I cry
What goes on, before I die
Within your mind, cry on with what?
Is it worth it to wake, before dawn or dusk?

Hark, Hark, before my sin
Infinite shadows linger, forever within?
They never end, must I wait without recourse?
Is this real or is this the falsehood we fear at night?

Hark, Hark, Indeed I cry
What are these terrors I see with my eye
Is it the Syndrome of night or the symptoms of death?
Are we forever near nigh within the siesta ?

Perfection?

Things get worse before they get better.
Now this may seem like a contradiction:
Better is so much more than that thing you say
When things are starting to go your way
But better is far from perfection.

If you want perfection, then listen my friend
You must close your eyes and think
All you do is stand still and ruminate over nothing, yet everything
So tell me is perfection better anything?
You can do nothing but think.

The boredom would be so great, you see
That you would go fanatical
Over this and that, so much that
Incognito, you will be till you face the fact.
You’ll see that perfection is impossible, a sight you never did see.

Is it true?

There is a story I hear often
Of a man with infinite life
But is this story true or is it a fallacy
Things often get mixed up with humans
Trying to interpret them, or worse still
Change it completely, twisting it, distorting it.
So tell me… is it true?

People flock to solace, like moths to a flame
They need a redeemer, someone to tell their
Troubles to… So tell me is it true?

Is it true that a man, born of a God up high
Would come down here to save us… from ourselves?
Why would the son of God want to save humans
Wretched, impure, dirty in our sin.
Is it true? Do you believe it to be so?

Because if there is one single thing I know
That is you believe it to be true, then it is
It does not matter what other people think
The only thing that does matter is such…
Just what you wish to believe, but tell me…
Is it true?

First light

It was late night
But it was brighter
Than what night should be
Like the sun was burning through
The inky blackness was gone
The mysterious starless sky
Like the sun had killed the moon

But why had the sun killed the moon?
Or was it something else...
Was it that the moon sacrificed itself
to save the sun from so unknown gun
Becuase the next night
The moon was missing part of its side

But wait, if the moon is here
Then the moon never left
But once again late that night
It got brighter than before
Why does this happen
forever onward, forevermore...

Is there some galatic rule in mind?
Was there nothing here before?
I never noticed this before...
When went to sleep at night
I woke up in the light of day
I never noticed a transition stage
Between dark and light
It just got bright in the day

I wonder if this is normal
Nothing wrong with this time
This light creeping though Darkness
Like a heated battle between
May if this battle was never fought
Then there would be no day
Maybe the sun and moon are enemies
To a stalemate they have fought

You Tell Me

You tell me when I write
To write some little way
You tell me when I write
To write like poets of the day
You tell me when I write
To write like Maya Angelou
You tell me when I write
To write like you.

But I tell you when I write
I'll write how I wish it to be
I tell you when I write
I'll write how I feel within me
I tell you when I write
I'll write how the world seems
I tell you when I write
I'll write for I feel no sun beams

------------------------------------
The Light in the Smoke

This world seems like a smoky mirror
Much to many peoples surprise
They look at the world
It seems crystal clear and calm
But past the surface happiness
Misery reigns supreme

Look clearly at the majority of the world
And you will see the sorrow
The Ghettos of the cities
And the Wastelands of the open field
All this rolled into one
The smokiness to you will succumb

Within this blackness, there is no light
Except coming from the churches heights
Within these hallowed walls of old
A tale of heroism is told to the hopeful
Young and Old
This tale of this man, this godly man we seek

The man dies for his children
So the world will not seem as dark
This man gave them all inner light
To burn away the smoke
From that damned mirror

I have yet to find this man,
But I hope he comes to me soon
If you have found this man
Please point me to his boon

-------------------------------------------
Gaia’s Suicide

Oh, Earthly night, terror insure
Forget the fact, this wound you bore
Ether nightmares, cleverly hidden
Of legitimate death in the night.

Insurance of the cold hard earth
Take me, as if you control me
Suicidal thoughts, neither true nor false
Without cause or want held within them.

Silently looking at the gutter rainbow
Oil slick, how I fathom delight in it
Pondered wonderings, slightly skewed
On the stake, like to which so many have fallen.

Doom’ed wrath, like Venus’s charm
Seduced; like the thought of it
Death’s own right, like Death’s own thought
Is a reflection on the water of the stream.

--------------------------------------------
Schizophrenia

On Zephyr wings, silent thoughts collide
Eternal fires, within the context of the first
Killing heathen me, version story number one
First I shove, then he pushes back
Constant struggle, the never ending fact

Take this knife from my belly
Then I shove it through his heart
But still we struggle, the fire is just a spark
Push, shove, all the difference neither makes
For we always collide again

I feel like I’m losing, he seems stronger
This heathen me fights harder
With the fire weaker, the smoky memories arise
These memories I never had
The heathen me creates.

------------------------------------------------------------

The Battle of Dawn and Dusk

Symbolic feud of the opal moon and goldenrod sun
Dawn nor dusk wins in the end, perhaps it is well
Forgotten why this fight erupts, or with as much a fall.
Sunlight burns the night away, but night absorbs the day
The battle fought, all for naught for no courage is displayed.

Wanes on and off, day wins a battle, night lost this fight
But comes to win later, when dusk comes on ,day hard fought
From the earlier fight, no ability remains to challenge.
So day rests the night, then attacks, which seen to us is dawn
So these fights are always on, for this, the war never won.

Our earthly home is just a stone, on this great battle field
Darkness eternal, Light forever, neither of these are true
Why must people say that which is unable to be proved?
The light is not winning nor is the dark, it finishes equal in the end
So it will be, there lives intertwined, a draw.

All of his poems. All of them.

Your vocabulary seems more expanded than most 15-year-olds. :P
