The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, hands down. Great story, challenging-but-not-Metroid-Prime-hard game play, most excellent art and well done music....what isn't to love?

Whatcha think of the Matrix Trilogy?
I loved the first, tolerated the second, and wished the third had not been made. I think it was a great movie until the sequels.

I've only seen one or two of the shorts, so I can't comment on the whole. However, I liked what I saw.

....of the MMO Matrix Online?
I'm not a big fan of MMOs in general, so I probably would not like this one very much. Truth be told I don't like RPGs in general: turn-based gameplay quite frankly turns me off.

Hmmm...there were lots of "typical" answers I could say here (C.S. Lewis, Joan of Arc) but I think I'm going to be atypical and reply Euripides instead. He was a master playwright and I would love to know if he's truly as misogynistic as he comes off.

Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop would be a lot of fun.

Oh goodness, I was wondering when this question would come. I'm pretty sure everyone expects me to say Kaito Jeanne, but I think if I really had to I would pick Raquel or Pacifica from Scrapped Princess.

Meroko from Full Moon, for sure. I'd also want to play Ayu from Honey and Clover or Luchia from Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch.

Truthfully? Probably never. It's not that I dislike AA, I just have a LOT of things going on in my offline life that makes it hard enough to get on CAA. I'm taking a LOT of hours for the next few semesters, then I'll be graduating college and moving on with life....long story short, my days of boundless online freedom are coming to a close.


2. What advice do you have for the staffers of this or any set of message boards?
Remember there is a real person on the end of that keyboard, with real hopes, feelings, and hurts. Sometimes it's really hard to remember this, but you've got to try to love them as Christ would.

1. What did you think of the Star Wars movies?
I love them! I've watched my tapes so many times they've worn themselves out. I even got a lightsaber for graduation once. I am a diehard, total, hardcore star wars geekess.

2. What book, besides the Bible, did you consider the most thought-provoking book you ever read and why?
Wow! Tough call.My hermeneutics textbook (Introduction to Biblical Interpretation by D.A. Carson) forever changed the way I look at the Bible. Huston Smith's The World's Religions also deeply moved me. It explained the major world religions in a way that was very sympathetic to them...it broke my heart to read of the millions of people who are so sincere and yet so lost. Finally, there was The Dogs of Babel by Carolyn Parkhurst, which opened my eyes to the way the world looks at suffering, death, and grief.

3. Do you like classical music? If so, who is your favorite composer?
Not particularly. I don't mind Vivaldi too much, and I love the music to Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker.

4. You said you were a fan of C.S. Lewis. Who are your other favorite writers?
Kara Dalkey, Kate Ross, Peter Kreeft, David Gutterson...I really like genres more than I like authors. My favorite books are about Japan, historical fiction in general, mythology/folklore, or time travel.

What's the best thing about Texas? (or several if necessary)
My family lives here. And, it's fun traveling and hearing all the misconceptions people have about us Texans. Oh, and the bukus of excellent Mexican food.

Only if I didn't have to pay for it. Otherwise, sure! We would have viewing rooms, sushi bars, merchandise swap or sell rooms, art displays, trivia contests, DDR, karaoke, and cosplay contests.

2. Have you or anyone you know of been hassled for being an anime fan or a Christian anime fan? If so, what happened?
Oh sure. My parents, for one, were not big fans of the medium when it first came out. Even now, I don't feel 100% comfortable watching it in front of them, and I rarely if ever reveal bring it up to my friends--they all think it's pretty strange, actually. I have been asked how I can be a Christian and watch that "filthy stuff", or how I deal with the magic stuff in some of it. I always explain it's just like movies...you have some titles that are G, some are PG-13, and some are X.

3. Have you ever had a "blonde" moment? What happened?
Sure. I'm trying to think of a good one to share...one time, in high school, I was watching this guy I had a crush on and walked straight into a pole. >_O;;

Well, I have friends from this forum that I have met offline, does that count? But to answer the question more directly, I don't think so. I can think of maybe one, but it's a stretch. Most of my friends, believe it or not, are not into anime at all.

Ryan, the things Kimchi must do to your brain to make you think up a question like that....

Anyway, on to the escape!

Well, first, I'm assuming they keep us in separate cages. I would wait until nightfall then dig out a marble and the rubberband. Using my supreme anatomical knowledge, I would then hit the guard in the temple, instantly killing her (oops). I would then drag her body over, change clothes, and proceed to bust out of there using my tweezers on the lock. Oh, I would also have to use the duct tape to flatten my chest since Amazonian women traditionally cut off their right breast in order to wield a better bow. Owwie.

Disguised, I would then sneak over to the other chamber and signal for Nick to distract the guards by making his cell phone ring. Once distracted, I would fight with the guards and succeed in duct taping their wrists together and their mouths. Again, with the tweezers I would free Nick, then use the spray paint to paint him completely black so we could sneak through the forest unobserved.

As we trekked through the forest, we would use the marbles, rubberband, and glasses case to make traps for bugs and snakes, which we would digest for dinner, until we reached civilization again. Once there, I would write a riveting memoir of our travails in the displaced Amazonian country and make millions of dollars, thus funding our adventures in Japan. How's that?

What is your oppinion of jerky?
It makes good trail food. I like it okay, but I detest the "varieties" like tuna or turkey. Venison, however, makes excellent jerky.

Hmm....I remember my mom taking me to parks and reading to me. I also remember breaking my arm when I was 3. I guess those two are tied for first.

What I would have done would be similar. Except that I would pretend to join the Amazonian race while Nick would be a temporary slave. Of course this is assuming I wouldn't have to cut off my right breast (Assuming I am female). But one must account for what measures one would go through for freedom (Remember the guy who cut off his right hand to escape from an avalanche?).

Now. I would have used the duct tape, rubber band, glasses case and Nick's cellphone to form some sort of slingshot, then snipe these Amazons one at a time. With enough force applied, one could use the cellphone and pen as a stabbing device.

But hey! I like your idea too.

But seriously, I don't think they're all that great...they seem really slow and boring to me, and all the characters are rather ugly (especially the girls). Spirited Away was okay, Howl's Moving Castle is probably the only one I'd want to see again, and the rest were utterly forgettable to me.

It doesn't entertain me and it doesn't give me a new perspective, so I would have trouble attributing any great value to it. If one happens to like feeling like death warmed over (which I know some people actually do) or has a seriously warped view of the human cost of war, then this assessment could be reversed completely, but for me it's not worth much.
