Should I get BTA's new CD in May or should I go with their one already out?

Basically, I love metalcore, but I prefer Death metal so I'm sorta stuck here...

I'm sorta in shock here right now, after listening and learning about the band Mayhem. Guys, as a brother in Christ, I warn you to stay away from them.
I mean, I can tolerate alot of things, but these guys are the worst of the worst.
I expect Eric has heard something of them.

Buy both! But if I had to choose one, I'd recommend the first one (Terminate Damnation) before this new one coming out. I again highly recommend listening to a couple songs and see for yourself though. Go here: http://www.purevolume.com/becomingthearchetype

U can hear 2 songs from the old and 2 from the new on that site. :thumb:

I've heard those songs already.
Thanks, though. =D

Still can't decide.

I won't bore you with details to make things simple, I have to choose one or the other for now.

I just bought BTA's first cd yesterday, and I think that if you like death metal, and metalcore, you'll love it. However, it is more metalcore than death metal...just to warn you.

As for Mayhem, well, I think they are creepy too. I mean one band member (Varg) murdered the band leader (Euronymous). They also participated in church burnings. Another one of their members commited suicide with a shotgun, and the gory remains of his head were used as album art! So I would agree with you that they are a band you should probably avoid!

Yeah, what you just said was something I was hesitating to share.

In their defense (something they probably don't deserve), I believe the album art with Dead's body was a bootlegged album and wasn't attempted to be published.

That would be inhumane.

Well, taking pictures of his body and commenting some of the band members wanted to 'devour his brain" isn't either.

ANYWAY....

BTA's album.
Me buy.
Tomorrow.

I just got into Job For A Cowboy only to find out I've heard their song "Knee Deep" a million times.

I couldn't figure out where, then I looked at my sig.

Man, I cant wait to get BtA's new CD. I bought the first one about a year ago and couldnt wait for the new album. Anyone here have it yet?

On a side note: I have been addicted to Neon Horse's "Cuckoo" for about a week now, and I know that it's not metal, but I think many of you would enjoy it. The music video is on Youtube. XD

Awsome, I cant wait to get it!

Oh, and here are some great bands that are a little more obscure than most:
Altera Enigma - www.myspace.com/alteraenigma
Rider of the White Horse - www.myspace.com/therideronthewhitehorse
Kekal - http://myspace.com/kekal

For Altera Enigma, I suggest you listen to NGC 337.
For Rider, they are all good. XD
For Kekal, I really like Isolated I

Hope you guys like them.

Fixed! Sorry bout that.

To add more about them, The Rider on the White Horse are a two man band: A bass player/singer and a drummer/singer. Very raw stuff. I really like the song DIE.

Here are more bands that are (generally) unknown.

Death-like Metal
She Came From Above: http://myspace.com/shecamefromabove
These 5 Down: http://myspace.com/officialthese5down
Alcina: http://myspace.com/alcinatn

Screamo......sorta
Distant Hero: http://myspace.com/distanthero

Enjoy!

Oh, and I will try to only put myspace pages or purevolume pages up, as I know that you guys want to listen to their music instead of read about them on their band's homepage. ;)

Knives wrote:Hey ~IYQ are you saying that after you watched that AC/DC dvd you got rid of all their stuff? I was a little confused about what you meant.
No; Hells Bells is a documentary made in the 80's about the evils of rock & roll. It was far more convincing than I ever expected it to be; it sat in the cubby underneathe the television since I was a child, and I'm really glad I watched it with my girlfriend a few months ago. Although Type O Negative is still my favorite band, I still feel a certain moral dilemma because of that documentary; I don't think "Well, as long as I don't actually do bad stuff, then everything's fine" is good enough justification in the end.

I want to thank some of you folks; I have fallen in love with Extol, which I found going through some different suggestions in this thread. :thumb:
It's pretty obvious to me-- live action Yuki would be played by Michael Jackson.

Yeah, I was the same way several years ago. In all honesty, I have not owned a non-Christian CD for the past 5 or 6 years. I feel triumphant! XD

I'm purely a Synergy man so far]Paradigms[/i] gets the call because it's one of those few songs in existence I find nearly impossible to resist at any moment; right behind it is Confession of Inadequacy. What tiny bit I have heard from their older stuff sounds less my style...what can I say-- my favorite Fear Factory albums have always been Obsolete and Demanufacture over, say, SOANM.

Can't wait to hear Blueprint.
