A...Ahno..

*steps foward slightly*

My name is Alexander, and, I came here accidentally. Well, not accidentally. I searched for a site that might be dedicated to my interests in Anime and Manga while one that also was dedicated to my faith.

I..I'm sorry if I seem a little nervous. Because I usually am when I'm in a new forum. And I haven't always been well received or have had horrible consequences from some of them. So I apologize for being more cautious then I probably should be.

Let's see here, a few things about myself.

I'm 17, male, I live in America, I'm five feet and eight inches tall with hazel eyes and red hair, and I generally tend to be quiet at shy most of the time.

I'm an Otaku 110%, I've seen 60 Anime films and series, while I've read seven manga series. I've been fascinated with Anime since I was nine, and I became more dedicated after I first saw Grave of the Fireflies when I was 16, one of my personal favorite films.

I've been a Christian all my life, and I will be forever. Although I have been struggling with my personal soul for quite some time, I feel that coming here might have been a calling from God to help me in this time of need. I don't want to be a burden to anyone, so I'll try to support myself as best I can to keep things under control.

But I also have faith in this place. I might not know any of you very well yet nor do I know it's history, but from what I've looked at and from what I've read, I think I can trust it. I hope I can trust it.

I left out a lot of details about myself, but I think this introduction is best to start with. I'm very glad to be here, and I hope you can welcome me here as well.

God Bless,
Alec.

Hola Alexander! Great to have you here! =D
WOAH, 60 anime films.... O.O I'm impressed! The only thing I've ever watched is an episode of Naruto. XD Since I can't watch any anime, I comfort myself with manga, lol.

Hey I guess that would make me 120% otaku, since I've seen an insane amount and quite quite a few series (yet haven't yet complete them... cost lots of $$). Heck, my b/f got me a hoodie that says "onna otaku" in romanji and kanji, with Sakaki from Azumanga on it (he admitted after that he didn't even know what "otaku" meant^^ He just knew I liked Sakaki...)

*cough* But anyhow, hey that, and welcome!^^

Hey, welcome to CAA! Which anime is your favorite? I personally like DNAngel and Rurouni Kenshin; Naruto, too. XD

Hope you have a great time here!

*stares*

Incredible, I've only made one post and I've received all these replies...

Konichiwa to all of you! I really feel very welcomed here.

*smiles*

Well, to answer some questions:

I don't have a favorite anime film or series. It's impossible for me to do. I don't even have a top 10 list. I just have my personal, "List of Anime films and manga series I would want to snuggle with."

My favorite genera is Shojo, but I enjoy almost any genera as long as it has a good story and is, of course, clean to my requirements.

However, I do have a favorite director/writer. His name is Makoto Shinkai. He's directed Voices of a Distant Star, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, and now in Japanese theaters, 5 Centimeters Per Second. I have a theory that he might be Christian, but I'm not sure yet.

I'm an enormous Studio Ghibli film, having seen all their films including the not-yet-released-in-America films "I can hear the sea" and "Omohide Poro Poro/Only Yesterday/Memories Drop Drop." The latter of which is one of my favorite films. My other favorite films include Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Whisper of the Heart, Grave of the Fireflies (which I already mentioned), and Omohide Poro Poro (which I already mentioned again. XD).

I can't exactly remember all the other series I like due to my scatter brain nature, but I also know I throughly enjoy Yotsuba&!, Kino no Tabi/Kino's Travels (the light novel, not the anime), A Little Snow Fairy Sugar (it's kawaii! I can't help myself), andd....mmmmm.... That's all I can remember for now. I'll have to re-look up my list.

Oh, and Tenshi. *puts on Gaku-ran uniform* I think I could challenge you to speed. I go through two anime films per week thanks to Netflix. OSU!

And Radical Dreamer, I'll be sure to leave you a message as soon as I can.

*Takes cookie* Thank Keyblade Warrior. I hope it's shaped like Patamon.

Heh. Let's see... In the last week and a half I've watched 4 complete series, 2 discs of Kenshin, 1 each of Ranma 1/2 and Urusai Yatsura. Of course, I've been sick and trying to do as little as possible, which means I'm probably going to watch more, けど...

That in mind, *I'M* not the biggest anime freak on the site. We have some people on board with REAL big anime appetites.

How do you do that? No matter how big I feel I am, I'm always beaten by someone.

Well, you also have to know that I'm only allowed one film out of a three film rental split between my family. Sooo, I move a bit slowly. XD
