Has anyone seen this? Probably. It comes on Tech TV every once in a while. Anyway, can someone give me content listings on this? It looks cool.

I don't remember much of it, cuz I haven't seen it in awhile, but I do reccommend it. It was totally awesome. I gotta borrow it from my friend again. ^_^

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

I only saw a few episodes when it was on awhile ago and only because my internet connection wasn't working. From what I saw I liked it, but didn't make much since to me. Sorry I'm not all that much of a help.
"Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
and things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art; to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul."

I saw a few eps of this when they started airing it on TechTV. The first few were funny, if a little strange...and there isn't much problem content wise that I remember (there was a breast joke, but it wasn't a big deal...at least not to me. It might prove embarrassing to some viewers though) After a while though, (4-5 eps, if memory serves) the story lost its funny edge, which was what kept my attention, and I stopped watching. Well, that, and the fact that it was on TechTV...otherwise known as "commercial central" around here...>.< *wonders how much of the show they're cutting so they can show so dang many commercials*

Not much... No content was cut out of any of the anime's first runs, in the first generation anime (including Dual)

They started to censor when they moved the shows earlier...

BTW, the commercials happen more often, but you may or may not notice that they are shorter. Cartoon Network has the LONG commercials because that's easier for the shows, but TechTV has it's own format which is closer to a standard network ad format. Cartoon Network had spoiled us on the ads. The ads on TTV are shorter because on the longer ads, people decide to get up out of their chairs and go make a snack or something... TTV makes them short just like the networks do to sorta force you to watch them.

Cartoon Network actually cuts more out than TTV. Even Adult Swim does, with the exception of FLCL's run.

The shows are about 23 minutes uncut, with the opening and endings. Take out the ending, that's abotu 22 minutes, or 8 minutes total of commercials. They do cut out a little "empty space"

If you think TTV censors their shows, you have to watch my taping of the first run of "Serial Experiments Lain" The psychotic gamer's "eloquent speech" and Alice's "hobby" are left in. That would have never happened on Adult Swim. And, as far as I can see, neither would episode 4 of "Boogiepop Phantom."

Dual is great. I need to write a review of it...soon. Yeah...
I thought it was a great anime (and I'm almost positive I saw the whole series except for like 10 minutes or so). I agree with Ink that it wasn't really as funny toward the end, but I still enjoyed it. Before this anime, I had rejected the concept of fighting robots in anime simply on principle. I later went on to see maybe half of the Big O series, which I otherwise might not have watched. Content-wise there's nothing to worry about (except fighting robots), so if that's your main concern, then there's really nothing stopping you from watching it.

Yeah, in summary, great series. Watch it now! I would have liked a sequel (because the characters are all just so likable) but I have no idea how it could be pulled off, so I guess no more dual for me.

Random thought: D is my favorite character - so sweet and innocent (must...resist...cuteness).

i wouldn't say that Dual was excellent or made an impact on me, but it was a very nice watch. ^^ really cute and hilarious, especially that breast joke Inkhana mentioned (XD i'm sorry, but i really did find that rather amusing, although i already consider myself quite prudish) and the fact that Kazuki had to dress up as a girl for one episode to avoid suspicion. XD XD it was a fun watch and it did present an interesting premise on the theory of parallel universes that managed to keep me watching till the end (it wasn't that long anyway).

I would say that in nothing about Dual was really that impactful on me, except for the fact that stories with parallel universes and the like tend to provoke some serious thought from me about the nature of consequences. Maybe it's just me, but those kinds of thoughts aren't ones I have too often, so anything that provokes them is usually a good thing. Plus the whole thing was fairly entertaining. Not as funny as, say, Trigun, buy funny nonetheless.

i enjoyed the series as well... what it reminds me of at first is the video game Xenosaga... what is it with finding these alien artifact 'paperweights' (??) in the ground. It was interesting how he sees the other dimension all the time. i liked it.

I thought the series was pretty good ^^ Like Ink, I liked the first few eps the best. After that it was pretty silly. I'd recommend it ^^
