Heays everyone! Guess what? Chicken butt! Just playin (hahaha). I got a compy of my very own (yay me)!

Back to the question: Hehehe, I thought you meant RPGs as of the ones here (hehehe). Anyway, mine I think was Kingdom Hearts. No wait, it was Zelda. You know the ones I'm talking about. I think it was for the Super NES. It would of been FF, but my oldest sister wouldn't let me or my other sister play!

Zelda is an adventure game...

Yeah, KH is mine. My all time favorite is a five-way tie between

FF7/FF8/FF10/Grandia2/ChronoCross

I don't know why, I just liked Chrono Cross a tiny bit more than Trigger. It just seemed more fun and no, while the graphics for Chrono Cross were amazing at the time, that has nothing to do with why I liked it more.

It's EXACTLY like the first Legend of Zelda game. The only difference is that you are actually following a linear path instead of aimlessly wandering about trying to find the next dungeon.

Plus it has a lengthy original soundtrack of just one well orchestrated gospel MIDI that will want to make you to plunge a knife through your ears several hours into the game. Of course, it wouldn't be a Gospel Tree game without it.

My first would be Final Fantasy VIII, which still ranks as one of my favorites, up with Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross (My third and fourth RPGs :P)

Oh, cool! FFVIII wasn't my first RPG, but it was my first Final Fantasy, and it remains my favorite Final Fantasy game of all time. :thumb:

Oh man! I remember that game!! My brother and I would spend hours upon hours playing that game. In fact we paused the game and would turn off the TV during bed time so we wouldn't lose our spot. (We were about 11 and 9 so we had a bed time at about 9:30 and our mom was constantly kicking us off during the day. We sucked at writing down passcodes too, that's why we just turned off the TV.) We even got to the final boss once, but we died and had to start all over again. (Our mom traded in all our video game stuff soon after to help with the money situation.)

Anyways, that wasn't my actual first RPG. That would go to Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Man, I loved that game, and I still do. Especially since you got to fight with Bowser, which I thought was just awesome. I still go back and play it quite a bit.

Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy VI, Shining Force 2 one of those three but it was probably Super Mario RPG.

The first RPG I ever played was Baldur's Gate on my AtariST, or possibly something called Realms of Chaos? I couldn't figure them out, so Pokemon Red was the first RPG that I played for an extended period.
EDIT: Where did I pull the name Baldurs Gate from? :bang:
I meant "A Bard's Tale".

My first RPG, and the thing to suck me in to the whole fantasy mess (Not to mention show me an art style that would lead me in to a love of anime four years later) was Shining Force 2 on the Sega Genesis. I'm not sure they're ever going to bring it out on the virtual console or any other current gen system, but if you get the chance to play it, it's a fantastic strategy RPG and one of the best examples of the RPG genre at the time.

:X Not sure what constitutes as an RPG. I've only played bits and pieces of Mario. Mostly I've played Pokemon and FFTactics, but they weren't my very first games.

I believe the first one I ever played was Dragon Warrior for the NES, but I didn't get very far into it because it was rented. After that, Nintendo's translation of Final Fantasy 1 for the NES which was bought. Nothing like the classic line...

My legs are so beautiful! It's so nice to have legs.

D&D... which was the most boring, lame, gaming experience of my life. I tried to get into it and stuff but... blah how it was such a big hit in the 70s is beyond me. And its uber complicated.
