I went to view the animation via the link you gave on the first page of this thread, but couldn't see any 'vote' function; I could only see the number of votes it already had.

Hm... yeah, it might've shown up differently on my monitor. Glad you liked the feedback. ^^

<EDIT>Nevermind; I see you need to register to vote. Doing that now... :)

Hey Sondog, sorry I missed your question before. Its been a while since I watched the animation so I'll rewatch and try to remember exactly why I found the last scenes effective.

I've watched it again now. ^^ What I like about those final scenes is the clear-cut separation between those of heaven and those of earth. Those of earth putting out the fire and shaking their fists in clear rebellion while the others, on fire, leave. So I guess what I like about it is the way in which you've developed a strong message about there being only two paths - remain or follow. Something like that, I guess. It's been a while. ^^"

Thanks so much. I really appreciate the feedback. Very helpful. :)

BTW: This past week, ROOTS won two awards (First Prize in the Comix35/Roxtoonz Web Animation Competition and First Prize in the Truelight Zone Christian Film Contest) Praise God!

PS: You can view ROOTS here: ROOTS link

In case anyone is interested -- ROOTS is one third of a trilogy I created called TRIPTYCH, which is available, along with other animations, on a DVD called TELL-A-VISION: Vertical Hold Animation link
