Considering that the following rant was made in a public forum, I feel the need to explain/defend myself (and others who greet in a similar manner).
Malic wrote:well I don't know what the deal with these threads are. people just say "welcome" and then run off one post richer. If your going to welcome some one do it right. if your just posting then why bother typing out an exter six characters when 'W' is all you need. Alright this rant is over...commence greeting.
Malic, I honestly do not care about my post count. I do not mind if stays at zero (or goes negative). Also, where I come from, "Welcome," is considered a proper and warm greeting. If you look at my other "Welcome Area" or "Who's Who" greetings, I will occasionally say more depending on how the new member introduces himself/herself.
Frankly, I do not know what else to say to a young lady who says she is a hyper, fun-loving, insane newbie who thinks that anime is great and this site is really cool. It is a very sweet, honest, and open introduction, but I do not know what else to comment on, if anything. I am a little terse when it comes to introductions, but that has to do more with my social ineptitude and my typical serious mood. (By the way, I still consider myself a new member.)
To Malic (or anybody else who feels the same way), this is meant as a sincere explanation of my greeting. It is not meant to be an insolent or "smart-aleck" comment.
Well, enough of that. People who have problems with the way I greet people can contact me privately. This is TwilightKissC3's thread, and I would like to keep it that way.
TwilightKissC3, I hoped I did not ruin your welcome thread just now. I am very glad that you have decided to join this alliance and that you were willing to introduce yourself. Recently, many other new members forgot to introduce themselves in the "Welcome Area," and I was a little bit saddened that they missed out on our greetings like you see here. Please enjoy your stay here, and if you have any questions on posting, the adminstrators and moderators are very friendly and will answer your questions.
I shall now withdraw from this thread and allow others to greet our hyper and fun-loving new member.
