"Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
and things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art; to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul."

Gashi gashi gashi! ("Greetings" in Japanese.) Here, now for the list of thingie-ma-bobs:

1.) It's great that you're insane! I'm sure most of us are legally quacked-up, too!

2.) Fun is fun! All work and no play makes us dull (hence us resting on Sunday, heehee, small joke).

3.) Yes, anime does rule!

Cheers and many blessings to you. Please, enjoy your stay!

well I don't know what the deal with these threads are. people just say "welcome" and then run off one post richer. If your going to welcome some one do it right. if your just posting then why bother typing out an exter six characters when 'W' is all you need. Alright this rant is over...commence greeting.

WELCOME TO CAA! *huggles* I am soooo glad your are hear! The more people the better. I hope you enjoy the RP section as well as all the other uber awsome threads on this board! You rock and i'm glad your here!

Considering that the following rant was made in a public forum, I feel the need to explain/defend myself (and others who greet in a similar manner).
Malic wrote:well I don't know what the deal with these threads are. people just say "welcome" and then run off one post richer. Malic, I honestly do not care about my post count. I do not mind if stays at zero (or goes negative). Also, where I come from, "Welcome," is considered a proper and warm greeting. If you look at my other "Welcome Area" or "Who's Who" greetings, I will occasionally say more depending on how the new member introduces himself/herself.

Frankly, I do not know what else to say to a young lady who says she is a hyper, fun-loving, insane newbie who thinks that anime is great and this site is really cool. It is a very sweet, honest, and open introduction, but I do not know what else to comment on, if anything. I am a little terse when it comes to introductions, but that has to do more with my social ineptitude and my typical serious mood. (By the way, I still consider myself a new member.)

To Malic (or anybody else who feels the same way), this is meant as a sincere explanation of my greeting. It is not meant to be an insolent or "smart-aleck" comment.

Well, enough of that. People who have problems with the way I greet people can contact me privately. This is TwilightKissC3's thread, and I would like to keep it that way.

TwilightKissC3, I hoped I did not ruin your welcome thread just now. I am very glad that you have decided to join this alliance and that you were willing to introduce yourself. Recently, many other new members forgot to introduce themselves in the "Welcome Area," and I was a little bit saddened that they missed out on our greetings like you see here. Please enjoy your stay here, and if you have any questions on posting, the adminstrators and moderators are very friendly and will answer your questions.

I shall now withdraw from this thread and allow others to greet our hyper and fun-loving new member.

*claps for Omega* You get kudos for that rant, my friend. And trust me, Twilight is entirely to hyped over this place to let your lil rant get her miffed. ^_^ Twilight is my best friend, so I know what I'm talking about.

Hi and welcome, TwilightKiss! ^_^ I'm so glad you and your best friend are here at CAA and you're members of our Sakura and CLAMP fan club. *hugs*

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.
