Star Trek Polls Final: Best Movie?

Postby rocklobster » Fri Jan 05, 2007 8:25 am

Now let's see which movie is the best. I liked all the Next Generation movies and Star Trek III

I've only seen the first six, and of those I liked #4 the best. Seeing the future interact with the present is usually quite hilarious.

I like both The Voyage Home and First Contact the best but since we could only vote for one I voted for The Voyage Home. Why?This is because the humor of having the original Enterprise crew back in the Twentieth Century.Who can forget the scene where Spock gives the punk the Vulcan nerve pinch to the relief of all the other passengers just to get some peace and quiet.Or Kirk's lines:
"Everyone remember where we parked." and "I'm from Iowa,I only work in space."

I like First Contact and Undiscover Country.
I choose Undiscover Country because I simply love the idea of a Klingon quoting Shakespeare. ^_^
The poetic warrior has always intrigued me.
Jhn 1: 1-5 KJ

1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2) The same was in the beginning with God.
3) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4) In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5) And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Psalm 115: 105-106 OKJ

105) Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
106) I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgements.

Psalm 91:1-2

1) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty
2) I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

No, sorry, the best is #2. After the tremendous disappointment of Start Trek #1, where the cast stood around ogling new technology in search of a silly plot, #2 - The Wrath of Khan - made it possible for the franchise to sustain itself in future movies. Everything worked.

And I'm partial because there's no experience like watching a theater full of Trekkies on Opening Day melt down at the last scenes in the movie. It was awesome. You could have heard a pin drop.

I thought that Nemesis was Great next to the Voyage Home.
Behold though the flames of the battle of life stands the the general Kyoto-the ballista of God!!!
However; he is not alone for he always battles by the Lords side

Yes Mitsuki that was awesome line.

"I see you Kirk can you see me."
I loved the General Chang (sp?) in ST: UC.

Nemesis was also a good one the same with TOS: WoK.

"With my last breath, I spit hate at thee."~ Kahn (Hope I got that quote right :D )
