Hello, I'm onyxmoon21, and I'm very new to all this. I've actually never joined any web sites before this one, so please excuse my inexperience...
I have a question about the avatars. I've tried to upload my own from my computer, but there seems to be a problem with this route, because my dad and I have tried all the tricks we know and can't seem to figure out why we can't upload one (these messages keep popping up when we try to 'save changes' that claim the picture isn't a valid GIF, JPG, or PNG file--and yes, it's the right size! I made positively sure.). I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to deal with this. Sorry to sound like such a geek, but I'm really not very gifted with computers (obviously) and would appreciate any advice.

First of all, I'd like to welcome you to CAA! 
The filename has to end with .gif, .jpg or .png. It cannot be a .bmp or anything else. It must be no more than 90 by 90 pixels, and no more than 14.6 KB.
