I love me some techno and trance. My current fave is Trentmoeller; his entire album is excellent and atmospheric, but "Always Something Better" is quite awesome.

You're not alone, MSP!

Sorry, can't say I have. Though I now have looked them up on wikipedia =D

royksopp looks interesting. Most of the stuff I like is European.

Yes, it's me! Sorry to have disappeared for so long.

Also, back on topic, a nice little sampler of 50 trance songs are on sale at iTunes for $10. That's a whole lotta trance. It's kind of generic, but it's a good value. It's also good running music -- which I plan to use when I actually start running... Soon, I promise.

I hope this thread isn't old enough to make this be considered gravedigging...

I was thinking about making a thread about this, but then I saw this one, so I thought I'd just post here.

Two friends of mine recently pointed me to some good trance. One told me about http://www.di.fm, which is an online trance radio station, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Another sent me a couple of tracks that I've really enjoyed, as well.

So the point is - could anyone point me towards some good trance artists? Things I've been recently listening to have just been stuff by Agnelli & Nelson, and I really like it, so if any of you know of them and know some similar artists, suggest me something. If you haven't, I prefer hard trance (be it vocal or not), basically anything with a nice, steady, agressive beat; but nothing going all over the place (one of my friends kinda forced me to listen to acid trance or something like that... it was too random and chaotic for me).

http://www.di.fm is a great website. I love it.

As for trance artists. I am a MAJOR fan of ATB. His Seven Years Album is one of his greatest.

I am also a major fan of System F, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, and Dj tiesto. They are totally worth checking out.

I haven't listened to any trance, techno, IDM, or EBM yet, but I do like darkwave, industrial, noise, ambient/dark ambient, and martial music; I really can't stand power electronics, though.
