Greetings from Oregon

Postby CDLviking » Sun Feb 22, 2004 2:13 pm

Salutations all,

I just joined last night and this seems to be a pretty friendly place. I am a Catholic seminarian from the diocese of Phoenix studying in Oregon. I love anime, but there's so much bad stuff out there that it's hard to know what's safe. Other reviews never really went deep enough for me, so I'm glad to have found this place.

I'm also stoked about the boards here. The Christian boards that I usually frequent are having technical difficulties. It will be nice getting to know you guys and sharing our thoughts and our love for Christ.

Hi! Welcome to CAA!
Foresight and Hindsight

Showed me two different streets.

The first showed me fame and fortune,

The second wishes to change my defeats.

はじめまして! (Hajimemashite!)

Don't worry, we have plenty of technical difficulties here too. ^^

Creepy?! This is how wolves greet one another. I was showing hospitality by temporarily making you an honorary wolf. :lick: See? It's not so bad. But if you prefer, I will shake your paw instead.

It is EireWolf's welcome greeting. It is a wolf thing, and it is with good intentions. Don't worry about it. Practically everyone gets EireWolf's "welcome lick" when they come here....

EDIT: Oh I see EireWolf has already explained, sorry about that.

I shall withdraw and let the others welcome you.

Thanks Omega! It looks like we both posted in my defense at the same time.

You remind me so much of a guy called Gray Wolf from my other boards that it's not even funny.

I'm sure *she* would take that as a compliment. ;)

Thanks, I like my avatar too. Shu is my favorite anime character because he reminds me so much of myself. He was also my inspiration to learn shinkendo.

By the way, I only said that she reminded me of a guy from my downed boards. I could see the female symbol next to her name. Who knows, maybe the two of them could form their own pack or something.

Hi and welcome! *jumps* ^_^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.
