Good review, Aka_chan. We've been watching the original Japanese version of Shaman King for awhile. The music is awesome. It's one of those anime soundtracks you have to get. Every song is great. It's got some great J-pop songs that you find yourself singing over and over again.

4Kids once again proved that it could completely ruin a well-done Japanese anime that was perfect in it's originality. The voices in 4Kids is horrendous and the name changes were ridiculously uncalled for. It's so sad that anyone who does not get the chance to watch this anime in it's original Japanese version will be forever tainted with the piece of junk they've produced for American kids.

Sorry, Aka_chan, you were perfectly correct in your review of Shaman King; but, I had to add that it's just not the same anime that came out in Japan once 4Kids got a hold of it.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I totally agree. This anti-dub piece sums it up for me (warning: contains spoilers). I just didn't want to say too much in the review, or I'd go into a horrendous rant mode.

My little brothers watch that all the time on Fox Kids. I've never been that attracted to it myself though.
