Ok, I have to say this makes me incredibly happy, as this fantastically beautiful movie has been OOP for a while now. http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-697165/crunchyrolls-first-dvd-release-5-centimeters-per-second

Sadly I'm a bit low on funds to snag a copy, but I definitely plan to get a copy when I can.

Crunchyroll licenses 5 Centimeters per Second

It's like the people at CR forgot that they were going to release this by this little press release.

I admit it- I grabbed it. Just over $20 for the order plus shipping and handling?! It's soooo mine.

RightStuf has it slightly cheaper as part of their Bandai sale.

Unfortunately, I will be holding out for a BD, whichever of an NA release or if I can get someone to find a Region A Japanese one happens first.
