Your Dream Anime
PostPosted: Fri Jul 23, 2010 9:10 pm
Okay, basically this is a thread dedicated to your "DREAM ANIME". Basically the question is: If an anime/manga was going to be made of your original work, who would you want to be involved and why?
EDIT: P.S, if you don't have an original work, just go ahead and fill in the blanks for what your "dream/fantasy" anime/manga would be.
Be sure to state:
Title of your work:
Brief Description of Story:
Manga-ka (writer):
Manga Artist:
Character designs/outfits:
Animation Company:
Director:
Score:
Musician(s):
Orchestra:
Singers:
Seiyuu:
English Dubbing Company:
English Voice Actors:
I'll start:
Title of your work: Niki
Brief Description of Story: Basically, it's about a girl who discovers she's an Elvish Princess by stumbling onto another island called Kiratomia. She is set off on a grand adventure in which not only does she learn a whole new culture, but ends up having to help save the world. Cliche, I know, but I'm working on it .
Manga-ka (writer): Well, basically I already wrote the story. But, for an adaptation of my book....I think either the guy who wrote +Anima or CLAMP.
Manga Artist: Hmmm....I like Takahashi Obata's stuff, but maybe Hiromu Arakawa's style might suit the story more....MAYBE THEY CAN COLLAB
Character designs/outfits: CLAMP, in the style they used for either Angelic Layer or Kobato.
Animation Company: BONES, definitly BONES. I keep hearing awesome things about them, plus I like what they did in Angelic Layer. :3!
Director: Miyazaki-san would be an obvious choice of mine...cause he's the only one I know. ....OR Mamoru Hosoda would be great too.
Score: Joe Hisashi, because if Miyazaki is involved, so is Joe-sama. Besides, since my book is fantasy, he would suit just right. Or, Maturo if Joe-sama's not available.
Musician(s)/Orchestra/Band: Vic Mignogna plays beautiful piano, and Maturo (http://www.maturomusic.com/) would also be pretty great.
Singers: Kokia, Hikaru Utada, Plumb, Barlow Girl, OH! and maybe Vic Mignogna. Why, because I want to combine fantasy with a slight teeanager feel. I want the story to be adventurous and thrilling, but at the same time emphasize with with teeanagers.
Seiyuu: Not quite familiar with a lot of seiyuu, except for Romi Park (Ed Elric) and Daisuke Namikawa (Fai D. Flowrite). Neither of them suit the characters I have in mind. T-T
English Dubbing company: Either Funimation or Disney, cause they are GREAT at dubs....but since Miyazaki is involved, Disney would probably already have the rights to this.
English Voice Actors:
Nikita Harrison: Emily Hirst (Makoto Konno from The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) It seems to suit Niki's personality just right.
Golarith:...Liam Neeson...because, it would fit the type of character he'd normally play....or Patrick Stuart. !!!!
Couragar: Hmm...I can't really say Vic Mignogna without sounding biased, but I think he may just fit that character right...although, Couragar's a bit brash and stubborn, has a short temper...kinda like Ed I guess...hm, this one may change. OOO! I just figured out one, even though he isn't exactly a professional (he's a member on christianmanga.com). But, he'd be absolutely PERFECTO for the role of Couragar.
Beepo: Dee Bradly Baker. He's known for doing AWESOME animal sounds, such as Appa and Momo from Avatar: The Last Airbender. He'd be perfect for making the cute little ramblings that Beepo utters.
Dorthea Civitello: Mae Whitman (Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Yuffie in Kingdom Hearts 2) She could probably play the free, kinda-spunky, and optomistic girl that Dorthea is.
Truthen Civitello: I have two ideas. Either James Van Der Beek (Pazu from Castle in the Sky) or Jack DeSana (Sokka from Avatar: The Last Airbender). Either would most likely do great with this character. XD!
Okay, I've stated my fantasies. It's your guys' turn. XDDDD!
