Sword of the Stranger - In theaters

Postby Sheol777 » Sat Jan 10, 2009 7:13 pm

Yeah occasionally Fathom events has a one day deal where they show anime in theaters...this is one of them.

I have never seen this anime, nor do I know much about it. The preview I saw made it look sweet.

I do however like to support things like this. The more we go to when they come out = the more they will bring over here....or something like that goes my theory.

Anyhow, February 5th:

Yeah I some trailers for this at my local movie theaters. I think I'm going to buy myself a ticket...the action sequences look sweet in this movie.

It was a good movie.
I would give it a A- .
This was the first anime movie that I have seen on the big screen.

I went to it with some free movie tickets my friend won from a contest on Rightstuf -- I wasn't personally very impressed with it. It's not bad, but nothing I'd feel justified spending money on.
Embraced by a gentle breeze, my heart breaks as I think of you.
All alone at the top of the hill, I watch as the seasons go by.

Wishing for courage softly, I pray.
There's no going back now, to those tender days when you held me in your arms.

This was a pretty good movie. The fight scenes were well choreographed, but the extreme violence was like all over the place. It actually started to make me laugh when someone got slaughtered. I was just like, "Oh gosh..."
