Anime OST Rating Thread

The real heart of CAA; discuss specific series, issues, and things related to anime here.

Greetings and welcome to the anime OST rating thread. Just what is this thread? Well every 5 days I will add 3 anime osts to the thread and each member rates the threads on a 1-5 scale (1 worst, 5 best), and they can comment on any of the OSTs that I have added. Thus the longer the thread goes the more OSTs users can vote for. This thread is design to help people share their feelings on anime soundtracks and offer their ratings and opinions for them so users can know what they are like and which ones are the best. Every so often I will get the mean rating score of voted OSTs and list the highest ranked ones. Happy voting!

So for the 1st 3:

-Eureka Seven OST 1
-Fate/Stay Night OST
-BLEACH OST 1

Eureka Seven: 4.5 - one of my favorite anime soundtracks.
BLEACH: 3 - in my opinion, one of the weakest parts of an otherwise strong series. Kind of the opposite of Naruto, which had a wonderful soundtrack but whose narrative got weaker the longer it went. If we had Bleach with Naruto's soundtrack, it would rock.

This is a good idea ^_^

I'd agree on the 4.5 for Eureka. It's an incredibly fun, diverse soundtrack offering a little bit of everything very ably. I'd give a big high five to the composer.

I haven't watched that much anime, but here are my favorite soundtracks: Kaitou Saint Tail ( mostly because I've listened to it over and over:lol: ), Sailor Moon (there's just so much of it you've got to find stuff you'll love to listen), A Little Snow Fairy Sugar (my all time favorite anime OST).

Cowboy Bebop is definitely a 5-star soundtrack. Also by Yoko Kanno, the Turn A Gundam soundtrack is sweeping and epic. I'm pretty fond of it and I'd give that 5 stars too.

Also, this might sound dumb but I really love the music in the Sailor Moon S movie.

Cowboy Bebop is an obvious choice. Trigun has an EXCELLENT soundtrack as well, by Tsuneo Imahori (who has worked with Yoko Kanno). It ranges from experimental space-rock to Led Zeppelin-ish hard rock (the opening theme, "H.T.", reminds one rather of Led Zep's "Black Dog") to old-school slide blues. I only have a few tracks from it, and I want them all very badly. If I were to have a soundtrack for my life, I would want Tsuneo Imahori to be in charge of it. What I've heard of the Outlaw Star soundtrack has also impressed me. I recommend opening theme "Through the Night" (awesome hard rock), leading man Gene Starwind's theme "Edge" (at once both intense and pensive), and second ending theme "Tsuki no Ie (House of the Moon)" (a very pretty piece. I used to play it before bed, it is so soothing.)
