Does anyone know of any good Anime MOVIES with like a PG rating?
A couple I've heard of are "Castle in the sky", "Princess Monoake",(I don't think I spelled that right) and (Nadia:Secret of Blue Waters) but I don't know anything about them or their ratings. So if anyone can help Thanks!

The problem is that a lot of anime movies are unrated. I can tell you some good movies that do not contain gore, bad language, or nudity though.
1.Macross: The Movie-It usually comes in two parts, but I think you can also get it as a set. Basic Macross stuff.
2.Street Fighter Alpha: The Movie-There is some violence in this one, but if you like Street Fighter, you should see this.
3.Transformers: The Movie-Old, but good...and clean
4.First two DBZ movies-The third one has some bad language as I recall, but of course they all come in edited versions if you want to see them anyway.

That's tough... Most anime movies based on shows are worse than the shows themselves... (The Kenshin movie is 17+, while the show is 13+)

Many of the popular animes have movies to go along with them.

Two other good movies that I forgot to mention the first time:
1.Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz
2.Galaxy Express 999-unfortunately it isn't available on dvd in English, but you can find the VHS edition.

Even if it says not rated but you would estimate it to be about PG the tell me anyways. Also about "Galaxy Express 999" is the VHS in english?

All the movies that I have listed would probably be rated pg if they were ever rated. As for the Galaxy Express VHS, it is in English, although make sure that you check the audio language before you buy it.

Princess Mononoke is not PG thats for sure thats the only anime movie i have seen that i don't like. Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz is good but it does have a little bit of cussing and a little bit of blood i would still say that it would be rated PG though

I've seen Endless Waltz and can attest it's very clean and good.
Spirited Away was an awesome movie. The only questionable thing I could even think of was the fact that one of the characters was a "witch", and that Haruka used a chant to free a girl from some enchanted grass. And I think one character is swallowed by a slime monster. Overall I give it a definate PG rating; very good IMO.

Voices of A Distant Star is a spectacular movie, although there are a few reservations. It is extremely sad, and very short. The movie lasts for 25 minutes or so. There is a bit of blood, but I don't see anything to merit a really bad rating. I love it, but if you don't like sad movies, pass it up.
I also highly recommend "Grave of the Fireflies," again, if you can handle sad movies, and you can't go wrong with Spirited Away.

I am going to asume that no one really knows much about "Castle in the sky" or "Nadia: Secret of blue water" since its been about two since I asked about them. Also I can handle sad movies fine. Oh yeah, one more thing there was a anime movie out in theaters a few years ago called "Metropolis" now I know that it was rated PG-13 but I heard it was a remake of a movie a while back, does anyone know anything about the original version?

As for Gundam Wing Endless Waltz, I've seen the OAV and I'd give it a low PG-13 for violence (i.e. people do get shot or caught in crossfire/explosions and do die, not all the violence is mech-on-mech) The language is not that bad in the sub (IIRC, three "d" words, one of which is a repeat of the first time in a flashback, and one "h" word, and Duo referring to himself as the "god of death")
There isn't any sexual content/nudity at all.
Castle in the Sky was PG if I remember correctly. I saw the first half, never got to see the rest because something came up, I had to go deal with whatever it was, and when I came back, I wanted to do something else-and I never did see all of it. I want to soon-and I'll get back to you when I do. ^^
Hey! I actually made a GW post with no references to yakking about orange ink. Yay me

Castle in the Sky: It's a good movie. What can I say?
It's rated PG so I doubt you would have any problems with it.
Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water: Er, Nadia is a 39 episode anime series.
There is a movie but it takes place after the events of the series so you would probably want to watch the anime series first.
I haven't seen either the series or the movie.
Metropolis: I'm not familiar with this one.

I am going to asume that since you're telling me to watch the series "first" that the movie and anime are both perfectly fine. Right?

Well, I'm not an authority on the subject as I haven't seen the series or the movie so you should probably ask someone who has done so.
I merely suggested that if you were planning on watching the Nadia movie you would probably want to watch the series first as it takes place before the events of the movie (and is probably better quality-wise anyway).
In terms of content, ADV has given Nadia the 12+ rating.

The original Metropolis was an old Black and White movie... the author of the Manga (from which the movie was based on) based the Manga's concept on that original movie.
Metropolis has a PG 13 rating, for "Violence and images of destruction).
I know this movie had been mentioned before, but I've not been able to find a thread specifically on it. I think the "good anime" thread (which is stickied) has some info on it, but I didn't want to get sidetracked too far from reading new posts.
Much of the violence is to robots as to anyone, I don't think it's really bloody or anything.
BTW, the original creator (Osamu Tezuka?) was the same person who did the AstroBoy Mangas as well.

Ever seen it? Fritz Lang also did "M", which is not a bad film either. Another really good anime film is "Millenium Actress".

Can't say that I have... thought it comes up from time to time for some of it's cutting edge stuff, and I'm sure you've seen clips from it... they've used them in 100s of music videos over the years, not to mention in sci-fi films
Some links for those who are interested:
IMDB Entry
Kino's site
Google's Web Directory
Ya Know... IMDB has a user review of 8.3 out of 10 (83%).... makes me think I should see this Sci-Fi classic.
