Has anybody seen this so far?? I've been watching it and I would definitely recommend it to everyone. It's one of the funniest shows I've seen in awhile.

Never heard of it. What's it about?

I've only seen the first two episodes, but unless I'm mistaken, it's about this guy who's trying to get a girls Kendo team together for his school because of a bet he made with a friend of his. This bet got him motivated to the point he is now actively pursuing the club, and getting the best members he can. One of the girls he gets has been doing Kendo all her life, and quite literally the best I have ever seen realistically done at Kendo. I'll never forget in the first episode. The teacher and only remaining member of the kendo club are walking by, when all of the sudden a cry goes out; "Look out! It's a baseball from the baseball club!" "A football from the rugby club!" "A tennis ball from the tennis club!" "The principal is falling from the third floor!" And of course, all converging on these two. We see a broom get grabbed, someone runs up and knocks the three balls away with the stick end, then uses the bristle end to knock the Principal back up into his office !

Dude. I loved that scene. One of the most memorable comedic scenes I've seen in anime.

Unfortunately, I feel like the rest of the series didn't live up. I gave up on it after 3-- it was nice while it lasted, but otherwise unremarkable.

I saw the first episode and... I didn't wish to pursue it. I don't really have an interest in that sort of martial arts, but more particularly, I didn't like the main character all that much. I thought that she was so ridiculously enthusiastic that it pushed me past the limits of what I could watch happily.

.....Actually, I think that's the side character. The main character is the totally UNenthusiastic one =P

Whew, oldddd thread. While it's still alive, I'll add my two cents, though. Bamboo Blade is WONDERFUL. It's very clean (though perhaps there were some yuri overtones? I don't remember how strong they were), but that doesn't keep it from being fun. The show is funny and cute and even exciting. Really, really a surprisingly good little anime.

Plus, it's like always one sale. You can frequently find the entire series for around $15 (maybe in the S.A.V.E. collection?).

I'm really sorry Mechana2015, yesterday was my first day and I didn't realize at the time, but I know now so it won't happen again:)

Just create a new thread. Redundancy of threads is perfectly acceptable.
