Future excavation of pokemon!

Postby The_Marauding_Maniac » Sun Dec 21, 2003 8:29 am

In the future people will excavate (dig) pokemon items and say "w00t!(or something like that) I found an extinct creature!!!"
"Today class we will talk about the amazing pikachu! This highly intelligent creature could shock other organisms for protection!"
"I found a gameboy with a little blue cartrage that tought me >stuff(<---my english teacher would get me for that)"
"Time for gym! Get out your journals and tell me how a zapdos would torch a jigglypuff!"(you know GYM LEADERS!(sorry about the yelling))
Luke was here.

Maybe by the time people have forgotten about Pokemon they will know how to genetically engineer their own creatures. Then it would be a sport or something like that.

My English teacher told us never to use the words "stuff" or "things" in our writing; but there are just some thoughts that you can express any other way. Feel free to break such rules, since they are only meant for serious academic writing. :)

The original topic is funny, but instead I'd like to go off on "stuff."

The oldest version of the word I can find is "foodstuffs" which actually refers to a noun. This could imply that the verb format is secondary, but the true meaning is that it is perfectly correct to use stuff as a noun.

Corrupting the next generation all 't is. I've had things (a.k.a stuff) like that happen to me before. On something similar, did you know that the interjection "stuff it!" is mostly used in the UK?
