Postby Roy Mustang » Thu Feb 01, 2007 12:08 pm

Episode 3 of Hellsing OVA delayed in Japan. The 3rd volume of Hellsign OVA was to be release in Japan on Feb 9.

Animation production has fell behind and a new release date is now unknown for now.

On Geneon Entertainment web site, the street date is April 24th for Hellsing Vol. 2 for the US.

*screams*

Can anything even remotely related to Hellsing not take forever to come out?

Looking at the bright side, perhaps production has fallen behind because they're putting too much effort into the animation.

Well, the blood comes out pretty quickly most episodes.

OVA update: CD Japan and Amazon Japan apparantly now list Hellsing OVA III as available April 4th, 2007. Anyone who preordered it under the February date (limited edition or regular) will have to re-preorder, but I'm guessing that's no one here.

So I guess just one more month of waiting till Brazil.

This delay actually affects me now, because I've seen the first two. Fairly enjoyable overall.

That's not a pun, though. It was meant to be more of a dry off-hand comment. But as for puns, you're begging for one with your first sentence.

All this aside, let's allow this thread to remain on topic. Unless the OVA is delayed more there shouldn't be much else to say (presuming the release gets its own thread).

*Cackles maniacally as life surges back into the thread.*

OVA Update: Screenclips from the upcoming 3rd installment have been released. Thought this'd be the best place for them.

You have stolen my comment, Tom Dincht. That one is quite amusing on its own.

This is the arc of Hellsing I remember least (a fact I see more clearly given that I don't recall much from the screenshots) so I look forward to watching it especially.

It's the Harkonnen, for flawless victory!

And UC, it's the Brazil arc, when they pursue the Vatican's tip on the 3rd Reich fleeing to South America after WWII.

so if I haven't read the manga, would these ultimate OVA's be easy to pick up on?

They're all adapted from the Manga, not that Hellsing is that difficult to pick up on anyway.

I know, but I simply remember fairly little of what actually happens. It's even possible I missed some of this arc, I suppose. What manga chapters does it cover?

Chapters 11-19, if not further.

Thanks. At some point when I have more time (possibly later this weekend, if my research paper is completed early) I will review these to make sure I've actually read them. My early reading of Hellsing was somewhat sketchy.

Is anyone's favorite character from Hellsing Alexander Anderson? Like me?

He is such a crazed fanatic with a heart of gold, I can't get over him. :)

All in all, Anderson is probably my favorite character. I liked him better at his first appearance than later on, though.

OVA Update: Today's the day.

Hellsing OVA III has hit Japan. And now we Americans have to wait about a year before it invades US shores. Least, those of us with certain moral obligations.

Don't look at me like that.
