Jubie Chan??

Postby That Dude » Thu Dec 11, 2003 9:16 am

Hey I was just wondering if anybody has seen Jubie Chan? How clean is it? Is it pretty clean or is it kind of nasty? From what I've read about it and seen it's pretty clean and good. Would any of you say so?

Fluke, if you don't have anything positive or informative to contribute, don't post in threads like this. That sort of thing is considered spam and furthermore may get you mistaken for a troll.

Don't take words out of context, either. Back on topic, please.

I've heard of it, I'd like to see it once I watch all the other series that are on my list.

It looks......unique.

Fluke, I would suggest you apologize to miss Gypsy, and go elsewhere, before things degenerate further...(Throws Fluke a dirty look)

On Topic: It looks pretty cool, I wish it was in the US....I only get US anime...WAA!!!

*comes stomping into the topic with a rather oversized backpack of explosives* Ah know nobody ain't said nothing mean to Miss Inky now.... *gets to work*

*ten minutes later* This might hurt a lil.... okay, a LOT. *touches two wires together*

This topic is cleansed!!

or at least as cleansed as a scruffy, non-moderator guy that bears no resemblance to that hoo doo midget lady from Poltergeist could get it!!

Okay, back on topic... I'd like to state that Jubei-chan is one of my favorite animes. Pretty clean, no nudity (aside from a very undetailed sailor moon-esque transformation scene), and absolutely hilarious... it's one of the rare animes out there that I feel that I can watch the entire series with my parents (and they actually enjoy it)! Now, I've yet to test this theory... so don't come screaming to me if it fails horribly.

And you know, I didn't think they could do it... but the sequel surpasses the original! I'm so glad they got all the original characters back to voice them, Jubei's voice is so cute!! ^_^

Anyway, yes, Jubei-chan.

Probably by the end of the day I'll have integrated Turbo's review to the database. Guess what I read the other day in Newtype? Right now, Jubei-chan 2 is airing in Japan. :brow:

That it is, and does it rock? Why yes... yes it does. ^_^

The animation is cleaner on a much higher level, and gone is the "magic girl transformation scene". While the series seems much more serious in nature, the goofiness quickly takes over. And what's best.... is that all my favorite characters are back (minus one, so far). Any scene with Hajime is hilarious too... the first time he comes on (or rather slides into) scene I thought "whoa.... it's Straylight/Noz!!"

Boy, I need to visit the other forums here more often. I almost missed a thread about MY FAVORITE ANIME OF ALL TIME. Indeed, the all-caps answer reflects my love for this WONDERFUL SERIES. It's absolutely hilarious, and it's the only anime that I can seriously watch over and over (except maybe Metropolis, but anyway). Bantaro is so funny! I can't wait until Jubei-Chan 2 comes out here in the U.S!

Okay, I'll calm down now. Jubei-Chan is very clean overall, except for a few references to Jubei's chest size, so I highly recommend it for Christian anime fans.

So would you call it a must buy or a rental?

Considering that you can get the entire series for about $45 at rightstuf (and sometimes $30!! XD), it's a buy. A big buy.

I agree that this is the only bad thing about this anime. Overall I enjoyed it, but the references to Jubei's chest kinda bugged me.
Looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of that great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.
