Amazon.co.jp is the WORST place to buy literaly anything!
The one and only best place where I get all my boxsets for 50-80% off, is CookieJarVideo.com. Final Fantasy Boxset Season 1 I am getting for only $26.99!! Trigun Boxset (in bestbuy) cost around $100+, but at CJV is only cost $36.99! thats the best place!!

Discount anime all the way! They've got great prices! (Most of the time...usually it depends on what anime you want)

They do indeed have great prices (the best I've ever seen, in fact), but I am pretty sure they are bootlegs. Can anyone else confirm this?

ok sorry for the dumb question, what's a bootleg? 0.o

A bootleg is an illegal copy of a cd or dvd that's made to look and sold like an original, usually with the intent of tricking the buyer with a much lower price.

Inkhana answered this, but I will explain why I think that the dvd's on the site you gave are bootlegs. First or foremost, they don't have the right packaging or number of disks. All of them are in gatefold cases, wheras most of the actual dvd's are in plastic keepcases or other different types of packaging. Second, they are all-region dvd's in almost every case. As far as I know, the "real" stuff is all region 1 (i.e., only for the United States and Canada).
I will leave it up to you to decide whether it is a good idea to buy these.

they are. But still.. I am buying from there
I rather get bootlegs for a lot less cheaper to watch the whole series, then spend 100+ for the original copies sold by ADV or other licences. I mean, they just put 4 episodes in 1 DVD and fill the rest up with trailers?! Now the anime dis. want you to buy a 'box' with the first DVD and fill it up with the rest of the dvds. $$$,$$$,and more $$$. Not only that, but bootlegs just add the eps. so, that means 8+ eps can fit on one dvd! I find this more better for middle class people, that cant afford 30 dollar dvds filled witg 4 eps. I rather see the SAME THING, (some bootlegs are bad quality, thats why they have import-anime.com to review the boots before selling them) for alot less cheaper. But thats just me. If you like the orginal (many do) and maybe you dont want to feel guilty buying them illigal, go right ahead.

Yeah...I'm not worried about selling my dvd's as "collector's items" one day, but rather with getting a chance to see lots of good anime at great prices. They are also the only place to get the Ronin Warriors series on DVD, so I have no choice but to buy there.
